Hey Joe, you have to be careful to not fighting on too many fronts. Also Kush seems helpful for now, but they push too much in your area of interest. Thanks for fighting that battle vs. Egypt. Sometimes horse factions really struggle in land battles. Have a happy new year 🎉 soon.
I think Nabataea wasn't losing troops because they have a surplus of food from their other settlements that's keeping them from not losing troops like how some of your settlements have -1 or 3 but not losing Garrison cause you have +10 surplus and if you are under siege and wanna find out how many turns u surrender if you hover over the city name it show how many turns before they or you surrender example 1:03:06
Food economy is simple and yet dum in the game, each province makes and consumes food, if you have a global positive then you get a small growth and replenishment bonus which the game explains easy enough. The negative side dosnt get explained vary well which is multifaceted and leads to a lot of issue on a province lvl instead of a global lvl. For global the only thing it does is disable replenishment, on a province lvl it applies attrition to all garrisons and armies, and a public order negative to the provinces that have negative food. Provinces that have positive food nothing happens even armies sitting there wont starve and die and sea regions also dont count for some reason so nothing at sea has attrition. That being said another way to get food is through technology and spies usually this all counts towards the global whole but behind the scenes it all counts going to the capital city hence where that province is has more food then whats usually listed. On top of that it takes a turn to trigger so if you have negative food at the start of the your turn and make it positive food by the end your still taking a turn of attrition. All this to say staving out small factions mid to late game is a chore. Also just hover your cursor over siege cites tells info like remaining turns till they surrender

Glad you have stuck with this Campaign Joe. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Yeah, I am as well. It's really showing me how horde factions can be tough to play in certain situations.

Yes, you are correct. It's just irritating that a city and army start to suffer for a couple of turns, and then it just stops, lol.
One of the formations was really helpful with the cav archers it stopped much friendly fire while moving
Really? Which formation was that?
@ use 4 units and put them in the skirmish formation. It leaves a little gap between the Cav Archers
@DC-77 ok, good to know moving forward. Thank you!
