I agree. He played his "Million Dollar Man" character almost to perfection in WWF and knew how to get heel heat better than anyone. He was also a great technical wrestler. I would put him at #1 in terms of being the best never to be the WWF Heavyweight championship. He deserved a heavyweight championship run.
He wasn't lying about Louisiana. I saw several shows in NW LA with World Class and Mid South, and the crowds were nuts. The fans didn't play, and seriously wanted to hurt the heels. Freebirds brought serious heat back then. Ted and Terry were either incredibly popular or detested. Fun time to be a wrestling fan.
I'd love to sit around the coffee table with Ted, Jimmy, Jake, and Kiern and just shut up and listen to the stories. Some of those Ted vs. Jimmy matches are on YT, and they're great.
A notable omission, but he seems to think more often his Mid-South days and the 80s more than anything when asked about these types of questions. He is good friends with Mike, but they actually only met in 1991 when Rotunda came back to WWF. If I recall, Rotunda even contributed to his biography.
The movie sucked, and was largely inaccurate. it would have been better served with a miniseries of 8-10 episodes. The cast was mostly miscast, except for the guy who played David. Surprised Ted didn't mention JYD, as they were very close in the 80s. No surprises with the others- Murdock, Funks, Dusty.
Now that I’m an adult and I go back and watch Ted DiBiase I realize he’s one of the absolute most underrated ever,

I would say that Rick Martel is the most underrated guy ever although Ted and Arn Anderson are very high on the list
yes like your so fucking green

I met Ted at my church in Saint John nb at forest hill Baptist what a nice Christian man.
Me to!!!
Christ would flip the tables. Like he did before. And like he will do again. Christ was all about shutting down these charlatans.
very few if any had a mother and father and son in pro wrestling but ted did, ted was one of the greats, as wrestler or manager!

He had matches with Kerry Von Erich I'm the WWF.
Col. Buckley Christopher George Robley III. The only guy back in the day that wrestled in a t-shirt. Nowadays, several wrestlers do.
What about Mike Rotundo?

him and that Wallstreet were just business partners. Pay your taxes.
That picture is a who’s who. 4 badasses Hogan wouldn’t pass the belt back and forth with? Create more heat. JMO.
Trump photo on the wall. 2024
Who is getting murdered in the background?
