Love your picks! I also love rose, Ylang Ylang, Tiare and Jasmine in perfumes. Just explaining why the roses you smell in bouquets don't have much of a smell: those roses are primarily grown for specific looks or their colors, as they will be purchased by florists for bouquets and decor. These roses are highly bred with lots of fertilisers as well, but not much importance is placed on their scent. However, if you smell an old breed of rose or specific varieties that may not look as perfect or as beautiful, they are specifically grown for their smell and have an incredible fragrance. My mother has some old varieties in her garden, and when those roses are in full bloom, you smell them SO intensely when you just walk by, let alone put your nose to them. But these varieties don't often work well for bouquets as they may not have that long stem, the colors might not be as deep and they just don't look so perfect. But roses do have an incredible smell, it just depends on the variety.

you have done one of the most beautiful video about floral perfumes, it is really good in selection, you have a gift to describe fragrance that is not common and can tell you love what you wear! loved your video: I am recently in love with Insolence EDP and love Flowerhead by Byredo ( has all flowers used in an Indian wedding in it, it is stunning) I love roses in perfume, but the fresh may roses ( Occitane had one Rose de Reine that is so so lovely) and Mimosa ( Champs Elysee Guerlain) Lilly of the valley ( Diorissimo), Gardenia ( Gardenia Chanel and Florence Tocca) all these are stunning fragrances that i loved through the years and i will order Idyle, after hearing your description i want to try both EDT and EDP. Thank you for a beautiful video!

What a nice floral theme..a bottle celebrating each flower. I was never a floral gal but am slowing gravitating towards it. Will be blind-buying any new bottles so this vid has been of great help. Hello, this perfume catches my attention a lot after seeing so many positive comments, but I have no way of trying it. I am not very familiar with the note of oud and I would like to know if it is very intrusive or what is the note that stands out the most in the perfume. many thanks 🙏
Jasmine is my favorite flower fragrance as well. Calvin Klein Beauty is my go to jasmine fragrance, but I love Pure Poison, too.
I bought Insolece EDT by accident lol. I meant to buy the EDP, but I was delightfully surprised and have been enjoying it. I also have ylang in gold, the one with the shimmery liquid and will be wearing it when I feel luxurious. Another one I love for Spring is Florabotanica and Penhaligon's Ostara. I have Lush by Lust and absolutely love it, I reach for it more so in the winter or cold days because it is very strong.

@@mhegu13 I'm a little unsure about it to be honest. I've never actually worn it. It smells like root beer to me, and I'm perplexed as to whether or not I want to smell like root beer🍻 I will probably own it eventually anyway haha
I love Oud Bouqet , actually I got my bottle after watching your video . I love Insolence, a perfume very dear to my heart, i also feel very giry wearing it. I have certain fragrances that I only wear with certain colours, so I tolally understand. Have you tried Bois D'Iris by Van cleef &Arpels, gorgous, sweet, creamy iris. Ylang by Micalleff is the only ylang heavy fragrance I love, intoxicating !!! Lilly of the valley...My favourite one is also from Guerlan, Champs Elysees edt. Unfortunately, I hate tuberose with all my heart and Madonna is my nightmare scent :D Freesias are my absolutely favorite flowers, to me Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte smells like freesias, creamy citrus. Great video !
Heya! Yes I used to own Bois d'Iris (I think reviewed it awhile ago). I couldn't smell it on me very well for some reason. That, or it didn't last well on me? Champs Elysees...I have a sample of that laying around somewhere, I'll try to find it. I'll also try to get my nose on Cristalle Eau Verte. I really liked the original :D
I've actually found all my favourite flowers in one perfume😁 I'm not a huge flowernote lover, but this one is just lovely! Favourite flowers: orange blossom, coffee blossom, orchid and magnolia. Perfume: "Love" by Sofia Vergara.

Hmm...to me, in perfumes, violets are usually sweet, fresh and somewhat powdery. I hope you'll be able to test it first instead of blind buying :)

But I've to respray in the middle of the day.. Cause I love the top notes.. And the fragrance in my skin is shy.. It happens with you?
From memory, the vintage version is A LOT stronger but I still really LOVE the new version, even if it's not as strong :)

Very nice video, will smell the top 5. Am on the hunt for a nice spring scent. Douglas, Bijenkorf en ICXI Paris are now open. Joop le bain recommended perfume is so nice for a very little price. Can you make of those affordable hidden gems. The new releases as you always say are just meh, and expensive. So we need more of those hidden gems.
Yes I heard the stores are open now...but the testers are behind the counter and we have to ask the SA to test stuff. Ugh, not fun. I'll keep your suggestion in mind :)
I also like Guerlain Ydylle and Insolence but I havent decided to get them.
I dont know what is wrong with my nose but the only thing smell from Italian zest is lemon
I own a lot of perfumes with Rose, Orange blossom, and Jasmine. The trickiest for me are Tuberose and Lily of the Valley.
Yeah Tuberose is tricky for me too. It really depends on what it's blended with. Love rose, Orange blossom and Jasmine💕 great choices
My favorite flowers are iris, rose and jasmin/orange blossom.
For iris my favorite is Chanel N°19 Poudrée, my favorite rose is Lancôme Rôses Berberanza, and my favorite jasmin/orange blossom combo is Elie Saab Le Parfum.

For Rose I love Oud Silk Mood.. And Gold Rose Oudh is pretty good too.

If you like Jasmin as your #1 flower (and I agree that it is the queen of florals), you should test out Serge Lutens' A la Nuit. It is absolutely divine; nothing comes closer to a true jasmine. Unfortunately, it is now a part of his exclusive line and extremely expensive. Let me know what you think if you get to smell it.

If you didn't put jasmin at number one I was gonna riot lmao. Now I have never smelled Pure Poison but I can only imagine how beautiful it is. To me the most luscious jasmine for me is Alien, and A La Nuit by Serge Lutens is a close second, but perhaps more special to me because it reminds me so much of this botanical garden near me that I used to go to as a child.
Insolence is another love for that violet candy sweetness, and Stella EDT and Rose Flash by Tauerville are my favorite rose scents. Also adore orange blossom and neroli scents (Orange Blossom by Penhaligon's is great) and the magnolia in Curious makes me want to try more.
I have Idylle also- I just got it for $26- not sure why it is so cheap. Do you know why? Also I have a different bottle. My Iris scent is Infusion d’Iris also..
Guerlain has been selling for great deals on discount webshops for the past year or so. Could be bottle changes or reformulations to fit the new rules for ingredients used :)
I absolutely Love Pure Poison but I’m kind of scared to splurge on it cause so many people online say that it has been reformulated and has the lasting and sillage of a body spray. Does your last? I assume it is the newer reformulation.
Depressed Ovary I have all the poisons except this one and the horrible girls. I have a tester though and it lasts 5 seconds 🙃
Thanks! I smelt that one a while ago and it wasn’t strong enough for me. 🙃 I own J’adore L’or though. This one is a true gem! Lasts 24 hours. A powerful jasmine, vanilla, tonka scent.
Depressed Ovary I have a version from 2010, another one from 2015, and two of the new ones (reformulation 2017/18). They’re all stunning. The new ones might be slightly different in terms of notes but the strength, character, projection, intense sillage, and the extreme lasting power is present in all of them. So I think the reformulation isn’t bad at all. Go and get it if you want something special. It’s pricey though. Around about £110 for a 40ml bottle. They always have it on display and you can get it in beautiful gift boxes during the holiday season.

Pure poison (and Hypnotic) is one of my signature since I was 15 in 2005!🤍 I sill love it but I think they have reformulated it. the previous one was stronger and sharper.. don’t you think so?

Just started watching, but had to comment on roses. The bouquets they sell at the store are varieties that don’t have scent. There are roses that have very strong scents. They range from a very classic old fashioned rose scent to very sweet and apricot-y. If you came close to the kinds of roses they make perfume from, you would definitely smell them. If you ever go to a garden center, see if they have Frau Dagmar Hartop roses and smell them. You’ll see they aren’t something you can make a bouquet from, but they are the epitome of a rose smell.

Fleurs D'oranger is a beautiful white floral you should try Arlene! It's truly stunning. Turbulences by Louis Vuitton is another amazing tuberose.

The new one is great, maybe slighly less heady but it’s probably a change for the best. Still very very intense and projecting.
Why so few rose scents? Do you not like the Queen of flowers or are perfumers not making them? I am on the hunt for the best rose scents for my new collection. Thanks for your candid reviews.

How would you compare Swiss Arabian "Shaghaf Oud" to "Oud Bouquet"? They are said to be very similar but I find "Shadhaf Oud" so overpowering, even one spritz. Is "Oud Bouquet" more palatable? Maybe oud is just not for me!

i normally would have disregarded rose as its not usually my cup of tea..then i tried thiery muglers garden of stars rose...omg,,if oud bouquet is anything like this..its gotta be good...its also sweet and jammy.

I don’t understand Pure Poison. It just smells bad to me. Maybe if I tested it in my skin for a few hours just as an experiment but I’ve sprayed it on paper and had no interest in smelling it again.
I do like the Only One Intense, and Alien Fusion, and even Armani Code and yes Chanel 19- love it.
I love quelque fleur by Houbigant.
My favourites: rose-Miss Dior, Jasmine - Alien, lilies- MK Michael, mixed flowers- Gabrielle Chanel, Nomade Chloe, YSL Elle. I am generally big flower perfumes lover.

I have never smelled Madonna Truth or Dare. However, my favorite tuberose perfume right now is L’Interdit Intense by Givenchy.

One of the best smelling flowers to me is peony, but I haven’t found a perfume that has peony that I like that much. Also, I’m remembering back to a flowering bush in a pot in front of my uncle’s timeshare in the Bahamas that had the most wonderful scent in the evening. At the time we thought it was honeysuckle. But looking back, I think it could have been night blooming jasmine.
I haven't smelled many peony perfumes, but the one that stuck out to me was Armani Prive Pivoine Suzhou. Ohh I'd love to be able to smell real night blooming jasmine. :)
I think Idylle is such a beautiful scent, but nobody seems to talk about it...
I have the EDP and my husband gave me another one but he bought the EDT by mistake. They both share the same scent, but the EDP is deeper, warmer, more intense, perfect for Winter. EDT is more suited for Spring/Summer.
My bottles both have the original tear drop design which I love.

I love Freesia! It's not talked about enough. I also love peony! Jasmine is stunning in perfumes. I wouldn't have chosen pure poison. That is one of the worst perfumes I've ever smelled. I have tried it so many times and it's terrible to my nose. Mon Guerlain and Alien are 2 amazing jasmine perfumes. I don't know if my 3rd would be Jasmine or Orange blossom but Peony and Freesia are definitely 1st and 2nd.
I don't know of many freesia dominant perfumes tbh. I should do some research. I would love to wear/own a simple freesia perfume :)

@@DeliciousDelights its a cheapie bit its a stunner. Eclat de fluers by Lanvin. Freesia powerhouse. Eclat de nuit is great with the freesia too. Lanvin as well.

I still LOVE that perfume but it doesn't really smell like the flower to me. It's more like a sweet musky cherry wine scent on me :)
