Aja Wilson, MVP in race baiting:
Wilson herself brought up race a couple weeks ago when discussing Clark's new-found fame, suggesting that because she was white, she was getting more attention than a black female player would.
"I think it's a huge thing. I think a lot of people may say it's not about black and white, but to me, it is. It really is because you can be top notch at what you are as a black woman, but yet maybe that's something that people don't want to see," she told the Associated Press."
Clark wish she could be as efficient and put up 30 every game like Aja does.
It's not race baiting, when it's facts. Those pushing her with all of the ridiculous goat hyperbole, are being disingenuous, to not admit, that were she black, they wouldn't be glazing her so fervently. I don't care what record she broke in college. That is simply a truth of the social dynamic at play here. People trying to act like everyone would, just make themselves look stupid.

MJ, Tiger, Serena, and Clark were chosen by the sponsors because of their greatness. Wilson is, or can be, the WNBA greatest player of all time in the minds of WNBA players, officials, fans, and WBNA media (traditional and social) BUT they are a very small audience/market. MJ, Tiger, Serena, and CLARK have the massive audience/market that is the sponsors' target.

Stop building up other issues about Caitlin Clarke effect. Caitlin effect was born out of her unusual skills of logo 3s, then her passing and her popularity on her presence received by kids and time given to them by Caitlin and adults noticed this and bought into her, Caitlin Clark effect born. When her presence and Iowa team being successful stadiums were sold out record viewership ensues and Caitlin became marketable and Nike, Wilson, Gatorade etc. Saw that they can sell products using Caitlin.
All the current noise when W players started making noises that why have we not been recognised in the past as we are the elite players that have been growing the game. Then the race issue when people then say that Aja Wilson is deserving of what Caitlin is getting but because she's black she is given the same marketing opportunities.
Reality:
1. Caitlin has the eyes of people due to capturing the imagination of kids of all ages and adults who never watch women's basketball because of her unusual skills mainly logo threes and signing autographs for kids along the way = Commercial Marketability
2. Legends, living legends, considered greats of the game in W currently do not have that X factor to be Commercially Marketable
3. If Caitlin was black/brown she would still be Commercally marketable because of the X factor as Magic, Jordan, Le bron.
Why do these so called “reporters” NEVER ask Sides point blank “ WHY are you sitting out Clark for 4 minutes in the 4th quarter & CRUCIAL times. DO YOUR JOB 🙄🤡🤦♀️

Both of you ladies are wrong about the defenders not being overly aggressive to CC. You should watch the reruns of the fouls of these overly aggressive fouls that you are saying, "basically just a normal screen. Breanna Steward" blocked CC so hard when she stood still and then pushed forward into CC as she was running hard. as a result CC hit the ground, and her head snapped back severely. Caitlin Clark was also whacked in the face hard by Alysha Clark, who had a massive grin after doing it. Ezi Magbegor hit CC very hard across her face and neck. These were all flagrant fouls because of the intensity of force exerted on CC. In each of these she could have had severe head and neck injuries.
Moreover, only one regular foul was called against her defenders. If this is what the WNBA calls "normal fouls," it is no wonder that no one watches the WNBA. What I see is unprofessional and abusive behavior by the professionals! It made me sick to listen to you two talk as if these are acceptable behaviors!!!

I agree with you on the Clark foul, but that screen was completely legal. Flagrant fouls happened before CC and they are going to happen when she is gone. Name one sport that doesn't have hard fouls and ejections. You CC fans wont be happy until we all bow down to Caitlin Clark..and I like the young lady btw.

Caitlin Clark respected enough to be covered unlike any other player in the WNBA as a rookie. The viral video of the player forgetting her second foul shot to cover Caitlin says it all which includes double teaming and very physical coverage full court. Caitlin Clark is the real deal uplifting and expanding opportunities for everyone. Millions are watching WNBA games for the first time and discovering the many other talented teams and players. Not convinced a significant amount of Caitlin Clark's popularity has anything to do with race.
Whar really bothers me is when they compare Clark accomplishments to the male BB players accomplishments. They are playing two different games, and they don't play against each other. The ball is a different size, the three point line is closer, the game is shorter, and the season is shorter for the WNBA.
We should have a black league and white league ....... see what happens
