Great Idea but if you are using UVC as anti germ source in those devices, please note that plastic bags will not allow UVC rays to pass through, and practically no disinfection happens in plastic bags. Even UVB can not pass through plastics and its only UVA can pass them which I think is not anti germ at all.

was going to say the same thing.

I thought that too, but have just tested it with my UVC source and IL1700 radiometer and found that about 70% passed through. This is only a sample of one. I will test other plastics as I find them.

Awesome using technology to keep up with mask demand. I managed to get 1 box of mask when this started. I have MS and really need to be careful. I have been disinfecting my mask with a uv steralization wand then put them in plastic ziplock bags and put them on the walkway for a few hours just to be extra safe. It is a uvc light I’m using. Great video.

Pls get a Uvc meter and check the radiation on the masks surface. They seem to be quiet far away from the source and the plastic bags maybe block the uvc. My tests have shown that a mask in a close environment with mirros blocks itself enough to reduce the radiation under the masks (even though there were mirrors) by a 100 fold

How much time does it take for the mask to be sanitized in the UV box? Grateful for a revert.
    Many thanks!

I'm curious. Can people hang their masks up in the window for a few days and reuse them that way too??

    • @kuricat8783

Please fact check my opinion, but yes, you can reuse, but not due to UV sterilization since UVC is filtered by earth's ozone and your window. Yes because the virus can't survive long on plastics or cloth. However, masks are a type of plastic and CV19 has been touted to last 4 days on it.

@@kuricat8783 I'm still trying to check. So much different information out there. Thank you. I'll make sure to leave them hanging for days before reusing them. Seriously, thank you Kuri.

@@kuricat8783 OK if CV 19 lasts about 4 days, how about a week without use?

Please don’t put the masks in bags. The spectrum of uvc 252nm will not go through plastics. I’ve tested this extensively.
