Nicely done...thanks
Great work bro..its clearly shows how much interst you have on that work....
Design yang bagus dan menjadi panutan nih 🙏🙏🙏
Got a few good tricks out of this, thanks. Wanted to mention there is a property called Total Length which adds like sizes up which saves some time.
Anytime . Cool I’ll have to check out the total length property. Thanks
Thanks a lot, it's very helpful!
Glad you found it helpful!
Thanks Ratha! I was able to pass the Weldments exam because of this video.
Great job!
good explanation
Great video. Not arrogant like some “EXPERTS”. new subscriber here
Thanks for the sub!
Nice ..
Select other thru transparent awesome!
I like this dude. He hood like me and we both use SolidWorks. Subscribed.
🤙🏾 that’s wassup!
@@RathaSochenda sir how can we have weldment cutlist from step file
@@RathaSochenda sir
not bad, thnx
to give information in a drawing sheet of a particular body we don't need to create a new part and do all the steps after. we could just select bodies option while inserting views in to sheets
Great video, why don't you change the sheet scale in sheet properties instead of changing each view scale?
Personally preference I guess
You can use “Create bounding box” to fill the description
Great Video! This really helped me build a proper weldment. You mention in the video that the Solidworks file is available for download, but I only see the PDF. Is the Solidworks available somewhere?
Ratha! i love your teaching style it helps me learn so quickly and easily! one thing that id like to know is do you do a rough sketch with dimensions then put it into a cad drawing?
It really depends but normally I do use an analog approach first before jumping into CAD. I normally try to get concept out on a whiteboard with rough dimensions. And then when I feel like I have enough info and the design makes sense I jump into SolidWorks to model it all out.
@@RathaSochenda absolutely! Thanks for the insight and taking the time to reply :) your an absolute wizard mate
The bit at the end with plate width/length/thickness is exactly what I was looking at, so now can automate some of my work.
I would love to know how to output data from the weldment selection (I.e. when I select the subsection like "equal angle" or "circular tube") so that I can have a table column that is called "profile type" and then it returns the choice from the weldment selection. Similarly with sizing would be great

Im trying to create a cut list from a mirrored part which is listed as solid bodies. How can i extract that to create a cut list out of it?
Thats probably the greatest weldment tutorial for Solidworks on youtube. Great work man. Btw how do you set your Solidworks background? (dark corner on the edges & bright in the middle) Did you put an image as the background? If so, can help to share the picture? Thanks!
Yeah it’s custom. Shoot me an email via my website and I’ll send over the background and some instructions to set it in SW
boss the length value in the table its length measure in sketch , How I can get the cut length not original length?
Hi Ratha, how did you create the table? Weldment or Assembly?
All using weldments
go check my other video th-cam.com/video/gDsJVjCeO4E/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RathaSochenda
hi! can you upload the template? thanks! great video btw
Thanks. Let me find it
I am struggling with how to get rid of the number in () at the end of the description of each item.
Keep at it you got it
Is that template for your drawing still available?
Unfortunately not anymore
Ridi amoo
how the hell you fill the weldment cut list table with data?????? I have an empty one
is your part a weldment profile or parts combined in an assembly?
Did you ever put a link to your template up? I mean...you could probably make a good living just designing them for others. I hate that kind of work...because I am LAZY!!!
I took it down
