@11:10 Sarah Kerrigan’s journey to redemption begins here. However, the journey isn’t gonna be easy. Victory ain’t without a price to pay. Lives were lost as a result of the main villain’s doings and Sarah did what she had to do, sacrificing her human form once again become the Queen of Blades. She began embark on her quest for revenge against the main villains, seeking justice and not just for herself but also for her loved ones and the countless of innocent lives which were ruined and deaths caused by Mengsk. The difference is the main good guys were on her side on this one. Despite her human self still dominant within herself, she still displayed the same ruthless killing instincts as before but she no longer kills indiscriminately, killing only the villains. She could have wanted to go back to Jim Raynor after the Heart of Swarm arc but she had a greater battle to fight against Amon. Unlike in StarCraft I where she fights to fulfil her own evil ambitions, she now fights for justice against evil, for peace and freedom and for everyone from the 3 races, her own race the Zerg, her former race the Terrans and even her former enemies the Protoss who became allies with her in the final Chapter. The prophecy of Xel’Naga weren’t just to cleanse her of all evil but to have her regain her humanity to reform the Zergs. The Zergs cannot do without its leader so it is a must for Kerrigan to once again become the Queen of Blades for the greater good. The cost for true victory is too high and only Kerrigan in her Queen of Blades form can afford to pay its price.

In his own words, sacrificing himself that way was the "one good thing" he had done in his life, and demanded Raynor not take that from him. To let him do something honest and noble for once. He never wanted to go to Char, not because he was afraid, but because he knew what would happen. He gave up on his life so Raynor could start over, leave the bandit life they lived behind. Raynor had found someone he loved, lost her (and his son), and managed to find it again. At the end, he was putting Raynor in the worst position and he knew it. Tychus had gone down for Raynor's happiness already, and now it was either have all his vital organs shut down or be put down by his best friend. That's not Nova. That's a vision of human Kerrigan (remember, she was a Ghost before she was Queen of Blades). Jim even makes a comment about it being Kerrigan right after. They probably just reused Nova's model and changed the hair color (Nova is blonde, Kerrigan is a redhead)
That's the character model for Kerrigan in SC2. They recycled it for the Nova character, and they added it to her character for the Sc1 remastered version.

Can someone fill me in on how Jim went from "I'll be the one to put you down for killing Fenix" into "I love you and can't live without you, darlin'"?? Did they just retcon the first Starcraft or what, cus if so then that's a damn shame.
According to the timeline, the time between the end of the "Brood War" expac of Starcraft and Starcraft 2 was a period of several years. Mengsk has had time to solidify his empire, and in the interim Raynor had to go pretty much "on the lamb" to survive. Years of focusing on survival can make someone re-think their priorities. Which means Jim had a major change of heart where Sarah is concerned. This doesn't count as a retcon per sey, it's more of a natural character progression for Raynor; from being out for vengeance, to being a war-weary vet who wants to see the war end, and the woman he once loved saved.
SRSobotka It'd be a natural character progression if Blizzard took the time and effort to show something as important and pivotal as a complete 180 of priorities of the main protagonist. But they didn't, atleast not properly anyway, and its left me confused, is all. I'm also wondering where all the story elements involving arching and intermingling politics from the first game wasn't carried on.
He spent years saving random folks from the terrors of the universe, and he suddenly gets the opportunity to save someone he loved? Besides, the Zerg was bound to have some sort of effect on her, so it's possible it could be undone with this artifact. Or just disintegrate her immediately, which is just as nice.
Anotheremptychannel I understand the change in motivation, I just wish Blizz would've made it clearer and not make the fans fill in the gaps themselves. Makes it jarring
Also remember that Zeratul handed Raynor a xel'naga device that showed them what a possibility for the future held if they did kill Kerrigan off and him stating "you will hold her life in your hands". The "vision" he saw and possibly his love for her went against revenge for Fenix.
To me the downfall was halfway through HotS when Sarah willingly gives up her humanity. I had been so happy for her and Jim when she became human again. They made it make sense and have her really become her own person with a more human mind rather than just Overmind 2.0, but still, that was so sad to see
If you saw the red beeping, his hesitancy, his essentially apology to Jim, and his reluctance to just pull the trigger immediately.
Samurai Jacky that's kerrigan from the past (brood war)
i thought that was Narud...
That's the character model for Kerrigan in SC2. They recycled it for the Nova character, and they added it to her character for the Sc1 remastered version.
what song this last she carry kerrigan
Must of been done on easy setting.
Let me guess this is easy or normal mode right?
I hate how tycus do the *execute order 66*
If you saw the red beeping, his hesitancy, his essentially apology to Jim, and his reluctance to just pull the trigger immediately. You’d realise tychus was chained to the suit, with a bomb implanted in it, and his only way to survive was to shoot the woman responsible for mass genocide. But even he had his doubts, there’s a reason he gives Jim a heads up, and says “I made a deal with the devil”, he’s fully aware that he’s not doing the right thing, but his suit is about to explode and kill him, he’s a slave with no other option. He ended up being the good guy, he could have unloaded into Kerrigans head the second he got the chance, instead he chose to inform his best friend of what the situation was, and give him a chance to put him out of his misery. He’s actually a hero, just a fucked up and misunderstood hero
I hope the 3rd will be guud...
Why didn't Sarrah's hair turn back to human hair?
Its said in Heart of Swarm how Kerrigan is still like 10% zerg or something.

Now that's a healthy male fantasy that is considered a taboo today. I miss Blizzard...

shamefull display, killing your friend to save space hitler
bravo blizzard
The beginning of SC2’s downfall character-wise. WoL was great, and then Blizzard HAD to make Raynor go “I never gave up on you!” afterwards
To me the downfall was halfway through HotS when Sarah willingly gives up her humanity. I had been so happy for her and Jim when she became human again. They made it make sense and have her really become her own person with a more human mind rather than just Overmind 2.0, but still, that was so sad to see
the story kind of went down hill after this one.
Why the F is this not a tv series yet
