    Hey if you guys want me to do a follow up video of how the game looks on the Xbox Series S after updates just like this comment.

    I guess we can consider 720p on Xbox SS as a kind of Perfomance mode.. let we say the only way to stabilize the FPS and maybe input lag? or not?

    • @abdellebelge7873
      @abdellebelge7873 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reduce input delay that then avoid the processor to not be in overload*

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the new xbox controllers support direct inpu vs the old ones that were wireless even when plugged in. to reduce input lag on the xbox is to have a monitor that supports VRR, putting the series s into 720 mode only causes the system to downsample to 720 from 2k which should result in a sharper image on 720p native screens

    How does this one look better than the 1080 video?

      Depends on the screen you are watching on and how the pixels get mushed around

    does the 720 p work with monitor what actually has 1920 /1080 p without destroying anything

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Playing at 720 p doesn't really do anything The Xbox series S always renders at 1440p. With the exception of some of the more newer titles have dynamic resolution rendering. So playing Fortnite at 720 p only results in a picture that is super sampled from 1440p. So if you're outboarding at 1080p you're getting a better picture and the performance stays the same as it does at 1440 4K or 720. At 4K you may have a slightly softer picture 1440 is going to be native 1080 and 720 are super sampled so they might even look sharper. But setting the consoles resolution to output at a lower resolution does nothing for performance. If you're planning on 1080 just set it to 1080. If you do have a 720 screen it looks pretty good.

    does it look better in real life than it does in the video?

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does but the image still appears soft. Especially if you are playing on a 1080 or 4K screen. If you are playing on a 720 screen it looks amazing. Or if your monitor can output pixel to pixel. It would leave you with large black borders around the image but still would look correct. The Xbox Series S looks great at 1080p or 1440p. As the system renders at 1440p and either upscales or down samples to 4K or 1080p. Scaling from 1440 to 4K is indistinguishable from the Xbox Series x with the main differences being effects quality and framerate stutters.

    one question: can you turn 120 fps on a 60 hz monitor on xbo series s?

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the monitor knows what to do with the signal. I've tried to do the 120 on a 60 the monitors osd informed me I was out of (hz)refresh bounds and the Xbox resets back to a working 60hz.

      The recording was specifically made for those whom may have a 720p monitor and get the best estimation of how it looks and plays , the game renders the same no matter how its output though, only down samples or upscales from 2k on the series S.

    How many frames does it get in 720p

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      720 stays lock at 60 frames per second on Xbox series s. Xbox targets the highest resolution output and then downscales to the output resolution. so if the Xbox Series S could do 2K 60 frames per second it will always output 2K60 frames per second then downsample to 1080 or 720. So this is on the Xbox series s outputting on 720 being downsampled from 2K. The proper term is called super sampling.
      For the most part capture card software is it meant to capture anything above 60 so even if the console could output anything higher the guard limited by the capture card ability. For TH-cam and other video surfaces is fine because most don't support anything above 60 anyways.

      @@therejectedpanda My younger brother games like this with his series s, on a 26 inch Sanyo 720p tv we've had since like 2009. I got to admit I looks good being super sampled as compared to when plugged in to my 1080p 144hz monitor.

    • @therejectedpanda
      @therejectedpanda  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ogm19881 I use mine on a 1080p monitor for monitor use though you have to disable the automatic detection on HDMI and then adjust the output settings for the Xbox to SRGB and to 10-bit color when connected to a gaming monitor I have found that also turning on VRR and sets that support Nevada G-Sync or AMD FreeSync makes the whole experience work better. Give it a try and I'm sure it will fix any issues I would say the Xbox 360 S is a 1080p system versus a 4K displayed system and that using it with a monitor is actually the best case scenario.

    • @ogm19881
      @ogm19881 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure how to count the frames, the images are smooth and and at 720p visually looks good on anything under a 32 inch screen.
