    I've destroyed so many BNDS wheels by using a mallet (lightly, I thought) to put the wheel onto the axle; even many of the survivors are slightly convex due to the axle pressure on the plastic spokes. Don't be like me, lol. Take your time. BNDS are the best -- even just to collect. Loved this video, as it gave me confidence that 'gentleness' is the way to go. Keep up the awesome work!

      @@modelcarshouston Not yet -- looking forward to your video on them! My local (Ontario, Canada) sellers only have the old-school (Advan, SSR etc.) 15 inch variety of the alloys by BNDS thus far.

    Apply just the same technique of yours, but I tend to be sure that once the wheels are installed, I won't pop em out for placing em with contact glue, so it bothers me that by just installing them they start to come apart little by little as you're rolling your cars, but it's cool to swap your car wheels whenever u want if u ever get bored to look at it using just a wheels model!

    Hello! Usually what size do we choose if we are going to replace our inno64 wheels particularly for the gt-r nismo sports resetting (white)? is it the BNDS 8mm-9.8mm (BC26401-SR) or the BNDS 7.4mm-8.9mm (BC264D1S-SR) ? THANK YOU!!

    Sorry James for commenting on an old video.
    So I watched you easily explain how to swap wheels for Inno64 models. Is it nearly the same for Ignition Model 64 scale too?
    I'm just scared to open the casing. Thanks!

  • @f8head

    Anyone have problems with the size of BNDS wheels on Hot Wheels models? I bought some 15" BNDS wheels but the diameter with the tire fitted is even smaller than just the original Hot Wheels wheel (not including the original tire). I tried several models all with the same problem. BNDS seem to be way too small

    • @modelcarshouston
      @modelcarshouston  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The reason why is because hot wheels are not true 64 scale so if you put true 64 scale wheels on a hot wheel, it will not look proportional. These wheels are mainly meant for collector grade diecasts which are true scale.

    honestly, my personal opinion is that alot of these aftermarket wheels are crap.
    no, i get it. its 1/64. and anything made in this scale is very delicate. and more prone to damage and shit.
    my beef is when u r pressing in the axles and if u dun get it right, and usually u don't, the end result is just wobbly wobbly. and i simply cannot stand for it.
    I know these are collectibles meant for adults and not for rolling, or playing, for that matter. but if a $2 hot wheels can roll wif no wobbles, i don't c why something that cost at least 10 times more shouldn't.
    anyway, on the subject of "aftermarket" wheels, check out carlomo wheels. very interesting way the wheels are fitted.

    • @modelcarshouston
      @modelcarshouston  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hot wheels has a tried and true way of doing it so they get it right 99% of the time as opposed to us having to do it manually.

    • @SamuraiBlues5
      @SamuraiBlues5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@modelcarshouston true that. They r a factory and I am sure they have their way of doing it.
      Sorry, I wasn't quite clear on that part, and mixed it up. I also meant those Tarmac Works and Inno64 garbage. Those don't roll and wobble at best because they r awfully put together at the factory. N cost 10 times or more.
