  • This is a full room tour of the 3 bedroom grand villa at Disney's Bay Lake Tower. This is a Disney Vacation Club room, but it can be booked through the Walt Disney World website as well. Our room number was 8534.
    This 3 bedroom grand villa is huge, and we absolutely loved the tall windows in the living room. We had a lake view which was beautiful to see from so high up. The main room was on the 15th floor with a second story on the 16th floor. We were able to access The Top of the World Lounge on the 16th floor from our second floor door.
    This room sleeps up to 12 people and has 4 bathrooms. There's plenty of space for everyone, and the theming and decor are perfect for Disney without being too over-the-top.

    As a fellow DVC a member, these videos are dangerous. As in its making me want to buy more DVC points. These rooms are amazing! Such awesome room tours.

    This was a great tour. Thanks. I’ve stayed in a 1-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower before and it provided amazing views. And an amazingly convenient location. Now if I were really, really wealthy, I mean Scrooge McDuck wealthy, I would convince Disney to let me live year-round in this 3-bedroom villa. More convenient than Golden Oak and those views. Again, great video.

    Disney California Grand 3 bdrm villa is similar to this layout. It has a pool table upstairs between the two bedrooms. The main view was overlooking the pool area and at night you can watch Disneyland's fireworks from the outdoor balconies!

    You guys are amazing, thank you so much for the tours!! I have a question for you tho...after seeing/staying at a 3 bedroom at Bay lake and Saratoga springs which one did u like better. My home resort is Saratoga springs but have always dreamed of staying at the Bay Lake, after seeing the amazing transformation at Saratoga I'm torn! I would appreciate your input! Thanks again so much and have a magical stay!

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oooh. Both good choices! Personally, we’d still probably choose Bay Lake because of the amazing view and the great location near Magic Kingdom. Saratoga Springs does look amazing now, and the layout is really convenient if you’re group will be splitting up at all and returning at different times, so it’s a great option. But the Bay Lake rooms are still in really good shape and has great theming that we loved, so that one is still a favorite of ours. 😊

    Hello great video. May I ask do you get the Disney dining plan if you’re staying in one of these villas ?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t because we have the full kitchen, so we pay for a few disney meals and reheat the leftovers in our room and do grocery delivery so we have snacks and stuff for other meals. Some people do still pay for the dining plan in these rooms, but it just depends on how much time you spend in the parks versus at the resort. If you’re in the parks all day, it’s best to have the dining plan. But if you’re spending a lot of time at the resort, you can easily bring groceries or have them delivered and prepare meals in the (amazing) kitchen. 😊

    • @markperry5483
      @markperry5483 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here With The Ears The villas look brilliant but we’d spend more time in the parks so I think we would use the dining plan. Thank you for the videos & replying, much appreciated

    I know that Disney is renovating the Contemporary proper currently (June 2021), but the Villas (and I say this as a DVC owner) also don't really look all that contemporary to my eye. I hope there is a renovation considered at BLT soon as well.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The DVC resorts are on a pretty set schedule for refurbishments - soft goods refresh every 7 years and hard good refurbishment every 14. The next up for BLT is hard foods and should be around 2024.

      I know that what was called contemporary in the 1960s is today called mid-century modern. I wonder if what today is called contemporary means something different? Just randomly wondering. I was born in the 1950s so I'm not sure.

    • @HereWithTheEars

      They don’t have any at this resort on the lower floors. There are other grand villas at other resorts that have lower floor options though (Grand Floridian and Old Key West are a couple)

    Are you guys actually renting the points to stay in these huge rooms?!?! This room is 88 points a night. You would need 792,000 views on this video to break even for just 1 night with renting at $18 per point and $2 per thousand views with ad income >.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not sure if you've seen our story or not, but we're literally living in the WDW resorts for an entire year and staying in ~135 room categories to review them. There's no realistic possibility of us ever making the money we spent back in ad revenue, but that was never the point of the adventure. We're doing it to help people (and also because it's a really cool undertaking). :)
      And to answer your rental question: yes, we rented some of the points for rooms this year (but we didn't pay nearly $18/point). We also banked and borrowed a year of our own points and used those for about 1/3 of the total. Staying in the larger villas in the cheapest point season definitely helped with all that though! :)

    • @courtneyspencer6654
      @courtneyspencer6654 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HereWithTheEars That's like $100,000 easily. Crazy. You could easily hop across the US using RCI for a year for a quarter of that.

      @@HereWithTheEars Sorry about the way this year turned out. Great to see you both back and doing your thing hitting those 135 room categories. It may expensive but you can make it up with all the money saved by using your APs everyday! lol :^)
