    That Amtrak California Zephyr train, it collided with a cement truck near Reno yesterday. No one was killed.

      I just wanted to see the new Acelas and skipping along caught that too, it hit an empty cement truck and messed up the head end of IDTX 4628, here is the story with pics: thisisreno.com/2020/02/photos-amtrak-train-collides-with-cement-truck/

    3:05 that's probably the most loaded centerbeams I've ever seen on one train!
    3:47 That's how I figured the long-distance chargers would look like, minus the Midwest logos. Nice to see an extra baggage car on a normal superliner consist
    Although Amtrak is upgrading their equipment, Metra still uses the F40PHs, which I am glad they still do.

    Why are they allowed to proceed through those crossing without blowing their whistle? I've never seen that before in my life in the U.S.

    • @zxnbcjkbkjefbiubguib
      @zxnbcjkbkjefbiubguib 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MIght be something called a quiet zone. Trains won't blow the horn for the road crossing in that case. Based on the amount of traffic flow people in those apartments probably had something to do with it.

    • @rattacular12

    Sounds like a lot of " flat wheels " on the Metro trains.

    • @paname514
      @paname514 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unlike the perfectly smooth Avelia. Huge contrast with the noisy rattling old cars in the the Avelia train composition.

    • @rattacular12
      @rattacular12 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Metra is in the business of moving the people. You get flat spots. Same as amtrak

    • @paname514
      @paname514 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rattacular12 Flat spots should not happen. Flat spots damage the tracks and the trains. I have almost never heard any flat spots in the many thousands of passenger trains, metros and trams I have seen in Europe.

      The trainsets are named “Avelia Liberty”, the service they will run is the Acela Express.
