Including The Jitterbug number in the show was a good idea because it is a dance number-I'm glad that the Jitterbug (and some of the other deleted numbers in the show) have now found a second life in the stage adaptations of Oz because it wasn't because they were bad songs-they are good songs they just didn't have time to cram all the songs into one movie-which in 1939 was considered long-100 minutes
