I will choose inches for things like KDP where I am printing in a definite size. Like a book that is 6 inches by 9 inches. For designs that go on shirts and possibly multiple other products where the actual print size may vary, I use pixels and save as a PNG with a transparent background.

How do you always come up with such great fonts? I struggle with that all the time.
I spend a lot of time looking and then develop a list of my favorites. I search based on my needs whether I need narrow, bold, script, display etc
