You might want to try out the Azumaya Gazebo for the entrance "tunnel" , it has that nice overgrown roof and would darken the entry way while still allowing passage. I've been doing that or the Pergolas for roofing in DIY buildings and it looks really nice and natural.
I love how well this turned out. Spirited Away is easily one of my all-time favorite movies and just thinking about that entrance they go through at the beginning and end transports me back to that. I'm excited to see what other Miyazaki builds you come up with.
This looks SO good! I love how natural, yet lived-in it feels. Like it's an inhabited place, but nature has taken over. You captured that brilliantly. I think what helped was taking two pocketfuls of items and sprinkling everything around with custom accents; that's something I'm still learning to do. To make the tunnel more tunnel-y, you might try the Mario floating blocks over the open walkway? It would help block the sunlight and create a more focused path for visitors.

Oh wow I based my entrance on spirited away too!! I used the azumaya gazebo to create the dark tunnel effect. Originally I wanted it to serve as a roof but it was a little too short. This is a great build and I'll certainly be taking pointers from it and reworking some of mine haha

So much inspiration for me! ❤️ I'm working on my Studio Ghibli (Kikis Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke) and Stardew Valley inspired mixed island actually and that's my dreamie list for the Ghibli Part of my Island: Whitney as "Moro" the Wolve goddess (found her today) Kiki as "Jiji" (found her Yesterday ☺️) Beau as "Jakul" Poppy as "Osono" the Bakery owner (one of my first villagers) / and Marshal as her husband (First Camper ^^) Tabby as "Cat-Bus" Maybe there's some inspiration for you ☺️
