This unit at 15:16 has blue and red lights on the bar. It's quite rare in the UK to see the red and blue lights flashing together but only the rear. Red lights on the front of the vehicle aren't legal in Europe but standard in America.
All police lightbars in the UK have red modules in the rear. It's not special to that car. If a car is unmarked there will either be additional red LEDs in the rear or the brake/fog lights will wig wag.

@@kavirajnosib4648 no, they are just being moved to mainly non-response roles, because of the time it takes to charge them. Most people can go home and let it charge overnight but response cars are usually out most of the day.
They also don't have crap acceleration. They're VERY fast and are far quicker than the 1.0l Focuses. At one point they could only be driven by advanced ticket holders because of their high performance.

When the Police force in New South Wales Australia first fitted the "Hazzard " light bar . They had the "Take down lights" at the front and the side of the light bar. But under the " Road Traffic Act Rules" the light had to be visible 360deg. so they had to replace the side lights with red or blue.

US police uses American and Japanese cars. UK uses German sedans and luxury and French automobile Pevgeot and renault and Japanese automobile that is landcruiser and priuos

While I love hearing the unique British sirens. I still can't stand their high pitched priority and wail. Some do seem better, maybe they're finally switching to better options (like some good federal signal or whelen?). The one thing I think the British need to add, is small little flashers to the rear of their vehicle, like on the left and right side of the license plate to make it more visible. Other than that, I believe the British do it almost as good as some American police departments.
We use much the same sirens as you do in the US, it's our speakers that are different. They are usually mounted behind the grille and as such need to be smaller, so their shape creates a higher pitched sound.
Like Europe using American tone sirens and blue hideaways.
