When my husband was late teens,early twenties, he, his dad and a friend of my husband's, were working on the friend's car on the side of the street. The friend's mom had come out to see if they wanted anything to drink while working on the car. The friend was a very heavy set guy, the car was on jacks on the front end. The friend leaned forward over the engine to get a tool, not thinking about the jacks. My father in law was under the car, husband was unboxing the replacement part and on the ground next to his dad, but had just come out from under the car. The mom had just come back outside with drinks. Well, the friend's weight was just enough to tip the jacks and the car was about to crush my future father in-law. I don't know what distance she covered in the time between the jacks tipping and the car about to crush and roll over my father in-law, he did end up with some very slight bruises and soreness and he normally isn't a big drinker, anyways, she got to the car, stopped it from rolling on him and lifted it about a foot in the air, screaming at her son and my husband to get him out of there. They quickly dragged him to the lawn and she was able to drop the car down. It was a Ford Crown Victoria, if you aren't familiar with them, they are not compact or midsized and it was an early to mid 80's model. V8 sedan that you see used in movies like Godfather or Goodfellas. She was in her 40's, didn't work out at the gym and wasn't athletic but lifted the car up and off him and held it long enough for him to get out and not die. We will all be forever grateful to her for that. Adrenaline is a hell of a natural biological chemical that truly can allow our bodies to bypass the normal physical limitations in emergency situations to save or protect others. Hfy irl. And she did that and she wasn't protecting or defending her own child but a grown man. She probably would have cabor tossed the car and got a perfect 12noon for her kids. And I don't think saying so is a gross exaggeration. Moms can go full beast mode when necessary, good thing for strong leg muscles. 🦵 😮😂

Love your story, I think when the Pumas and Leopards open fire it will be a shorter, faster battle than in the past. Tank cannons, machine guns and artillery, air support as well as napalm, cluster bombs and infantry with automatic weapons will make the battle much more one sided this time.
Story is great, kudos to you how you have written it. But after war in Ukraine has shown how rotten is the Bundeswehr after years of neglect, I must say that the story got extra fantastic element...
I can imagine the last story getting a follow up since we are an emotional race. And hearing and being subjected to baby eating assholes is probably enough to get humanity on a full blow genocidal warpath. Just for that incident and the information it brings to light

That "warning" was code for that species to gfto of their current galaxy. Humans do not play when it comes to their young. Once the video shows a species trying to eat a human young the rest of the species will tally toward eradicating it as thoroughly as possible. Likely with orbital and nuclear bombardment.
