You described this fragrance exactly the same way I thought of it, I couldn’t stop but pause the video and purchase it immediately, thank you for the detailed video!
George bravo to your excellent excellent review. I had same exact reaction. I just finished spraying and absolutely love everything about this fragrance. I think it will be highly sought after once it gets discontinued.
i cannot thank you enough for highlighting this perfume. as an oud-enthusiast and a perfume collector, i wouldn't normally have given this fragrance a second thought - all things considered. your presentation convinced me to hunt-down a bottle and i could not be more pleased. it is just splendid! many, many thanks!
I blind bought this based on your review (and there really is no way to test it anywhere anyway). What a great release, I'm loving it, and I am not generally a fan of the 1 million line, I find most of them way too sweet and juvenile for me. But this one is absolutely great! I feel they should have made it a standalone release instead of a 'flanker' of 1 Million.
I had to blind buy and will be excited to smell it. I like George's other recommendations. I would very much enjoy hearing him describe Ambre des Abysses from Houbigant. I just received it and it's quite impressive.
I love the 1 Million line. Big fan andd happy owner of the original formulation, also Privé (rip) but haven’t sniffed the last few iterations of it.. You made me curious of this one! Great review
Yes it is! My favorite fragrance in my whole collection! This fragrance is gonna be a legend! You better get it while you can! Once everybody catches on to how great it is you will not be able to find it!
There are videos of this fragrance. Its just that the top fragrance reviewers are not talking about it. Why? Probably because its hard to get, so they rather put the spotlight on royal when it comes to 1 million
Bought this based on your review, and while it's wonderful, it brought to mind Ameer Al Oudh by lattafa. I compared them, and Golden Oud barely edged it out in the dry down. Love yr reviews, man!
@@chalmerelkins8965 it keeps deleting the name of the retailer! No idea why. It's the posh department store beginning with the letter S and it contains the word ridges.
I really wish I could get my nose on this at a local high street dealership, never really dipped my toes into Oud but I am a big fan of the 1 Million line..
Glad you get a tester with this one. Agree on the quality not on the smell. Very familiar smell if you have been to the middle east or even any high arab population area in any major city in Europe. If you like that go for it. Likeable? Not in my experience. I tested it and asked all my employees what they thought about it. It was 10 people and just one person liked it and two even made a face. I think this is just for the fragheads.
I have 1MGO tied with 2015 1M EDT. Both are great, for me EDT 2015 has the best performance. 1M GO is special. Its wonderful. Like you said truly fantastic.
I grabbed a bottle as well and I love it! Speaking of oud, george, you should try to grab gucci intense oud. It’s just as good if not better! I recently picked it up right before golden oud.
I love dark strong oud fragrances, started purchasing ouds when i worked in the Middle East 20years ago. Montale black oud being my number 1. I may need to cop this one. 🏴✌️
Newest fragrances I have purchased (by release date) were Sauvage Elixir/LNDL Bleu Electrique/Intense Cedrat Boise. Instead, I’ve been hunting down stuff that I want that’s hard to get in the USA like Dior Homme Parfum and Intense, as well as a backup bottle of Versace Oud Noir, and for Christmas I was gifted Bleu de Chanel EDP (humorously the first one I’ve ever actually owned). I’m waiting for MFK to release his first mainline male fragrance for Dior so that I can hop on the hype train and see what the community and reviewers say about it while knowing the truth myself. I fear his take over of Dior, but we will see.
The more I wear it, the more it smells like PDM Carlisle to me. Without the strange sweetness that Carlisle has. This still has a sweetness. Just not somewhat off putting like Carlisle. I must say, this fragrance has grown on me significantly from the first spray.
The one drawback on Carlisle for me is the alcohol off the top when you first spray it on. I often wear less than normal just to avoid that for the first 60 seconds.
I bought Bottled Elixir based off your recommendation. It’s the first fragrance I have bought in over two years, because I DO NOT need anymore. Don’t tempt me to buy another man cmon
There's only one version of this flanker, to my knowledge. It says "parfum intense" (for whatever that's worth) on both the box and the bottle, and nothing else on either as to its concentration.
I was extremely disappointed to find that this exact profile has already been constructed in salvatore ferragamo's "oud". Exact same and don't give credit to Golden oud.
You say it smells juvenile as if it was a fact. Thats your nose and your associations. Doesn't make it a fact, and surely not a reason to try and take away from the credibility this reviewer has in the community.
@TheFragranceApprentice 😆 ...OK I'll concede this, as long as the note is 100 % and completely unsmellable to my nose for the duration of the fragrance life on my skin then...have at it I'm OK with that but yeah...not a fan so much 👍. BTW I do enjoy your content a lot.
Wonderful review George. High praise indeed. Seems like they should've just called it 2 Million. ✨
Paco Rabane 1 million 2 million ✨
they must have only sent one free bottle
@@nfltrrrqwsa7512The big brands don't need to do that.

Finally a video. I was going nuts from all the top ten lists and pantydroppers.

@George- This one reminds me of ATH’s Violet Delirium a bit, albeit more synthetic and and less floral. Great fragrance for a designer!

Of topic: Does Davidoff still make the original Cool Water? And do you compare cheap vs original scents? Yep cheap is the word.

Great Review, George.
But I want a Fragrance that fills a Stadium.
I want Football Players to smell me from across the Stadium.
Is this the edp or perfum?
There's only one version of this flanker, to my knowledge. It says "parfum intense" (for whatever that's worth) on both the box and the bottle, and nothing else on either as to its concentration.
There's actually 2 versions - which is why I asked.
@@MikeyColon That's interesting! I wonder why, and if they're actually any different.
No. Best 2023 release was Christopher Sheldrake's Rauque for Roberto Greco. And the price Rabanne asks for synthetic lab juice is outrageous.
Would you say owing halfeti or Oud Malaki make it redundant?
No. Its got the 1 million DNA that makes the difference
If this is the best release of 2023, the fragrance market is doomed.
But where the hell can I buy it in EU?
Paco Rabanne's website.

Why do some bottles have a green gem? They are the same right?
1 Million Golden Oud has a green gem. 1 Million Royal has a red gem. They’re two different fragrances.
