Love going into groceries while in Mexico and actually anywhere we travel. Great for souvenirs like regional candy and chocolate, party decorations, or even soap. The fresh pepper display is photo worthy! My husband loves the bakery section and I enjoy the houseware section. Have even watched them removing the thorns from cactus. Viva Mexico!
I really enjoyed my time at Walmart in Cancun Helen-Marie. You are right great place to buy souvenirs and a lot cheaper than the resort. I did buy snacks and can't wait to try them.

It really was a lovely Walmart Pamela. Just so many different things there compared to our Walmart. If I had more space in my suitcase I would have picked up way more lol.

Thanks for your interest in Cancun. I bet you have seen how self checkout is at the Walmart in Cancun.
Honestly I used to go there but since they introduced the self checkout couple years ago; they’ve been known for having a inconsistent problem in which none of the time you come in you like can’t use cash at the self checkout and you are like forced to wait in line for too long just to buy that one soda your craving.
Several people who just only like got a few cheap items complained about that practice and neither is Walmart willing to put up temporary fast checkout lines with cashiers for buyers with 20 and fewer items
You should try going next time to Chedraui or Soriana; the still are from time too time slow on the checkout but at least you not having to put up like with Walmarts lame promises and frequent excuse of non-functioning self checkout lines
Can I pay with usd at this Walmart, too? We are from Germany and make our holidays there at the moment
