That and some really cartoonish out-of-place cosmetics. It sucks that in the earlier days of the game, it was true and grounded to its middle eastern authentic theme only to be ruined with the crap they've added in. Since then, I didn't recommend this game to friends who once wanted a realistic mid east setting shooter.

If you want to sell a game you need to distance it from politics. When Sandstorm came out the anti-Zionist sentiment was not as widespread as today and as you might pick up on, Sandstorm is set in the Middle East, and some of the maps like Outskirts and Precinct are heavily inspired by Israel/Palestine, not mentioning the array of Israeli weapons available such as the Tavor, Deagle, Ace 52 and Galil.
The seemingly conditioned response from the community that sensible setting-appropriate semi-automatic shotgun models like the M1014 or Saiga 12 would be intrinsically overpowered and should NEVER under any circumstances be added is so devoid of critical thinking it boggles the sane mind.
I mean....there is some reasonable fear in that. Shotguns in insurgency can shoot far. not as far as an assault rifle but far enough. people just don't want their game to suddenly be overrun by people hip firing with semi auto shotguns everywhere and having to play far range maps to get away from them. But yeah, still surprised to not see a semi auto shotgun after all these years

Both the M1014 and Saiga could be 5 or 6 or even 7 points, and by default have a 4 shot tube (M1014) and 5 shot mag (Saiga), and for 3 more points go to 8 tube and 8 mag. Not to mention they can have jacked recoil and other negative stats to make the choice between the cheap shotguns and expensive shotguns a difficult one. Not only that, but Breacher is a *limited class* already.

The desert eagle being unreliable isn't even true, people just love to limp wrist the things. Hell even the SPAS isn't unreliable, both of these just kinda built up a hatedom because gun snobs kept seeing them in Hollywood movies and video games. Also if they didn't care about use in conflicts around the area the game takes place in, they could have added a far more visually interesting shotgun, the Neostead 2000.

I want a double-barrel shotgun. Would be a good way to balance a fast firing shotgun since it only has two shots before reloading. And since Sandstorm incorporates being unable to fire if your barrel interacts with an object in CQB, adding a sawn off option as an "attachment" would actually be useful!
Honestly, even through the new guns are not attrocious, I have 2 big gripes with them : - They are not semi-automatic shotguns the community wanted - Both of these weapon have unique traits in real life (unique ammo for the KS-23 and the ability to load 2 different ammo types for the KSG), but the guns don't have these unique traits in game even though the KSG has the ability to switch tubes in game. - About the UTS-15, please no. That thing is unreliable as shit, despite being a pump actions which should be a very reliable system. Also, it's a goofy ahh gun, just like the freaking QTS-11 Oh and the KSG is a freaking KelTec, nobody uses KelTec because it's cheap shit that sure looks cool on paper, but doesn't work half the time. Honestly, I feel like NWI changed like, pre-release, it was rather grounded and immersive but, now, it seems they just want to add stuff based on coolness factor and marketability instead of on immersion.
Kel tec is a u.s. made product that is affordable. I wouldn't go as far as to say it should be used in a combat setting, but I like my edc p32. As an owner of some, I'll admit I like my taurus better, which is not american made, and has the same reputation of being cheap..
While them adding shit based on coolness and marketability and agree with it for the most part, they almost completely back track because adding a Benelli probably would've brought just as many if not more people to this game then the ksg. So I don't even know what the hell they're doing at this point.

It's sad to see how far this game strayed away from its original roots of conveying a degree of realism, grounded and authentic looking middle eastern conflicts when it comes to the theme. Ruined by some really bad post launch content. The M1014 existed before in the original 2007 game that started this whole title. There are so many ways they could balance it for INS: Sandstorm. Maybe add the MP-155 for insurgents as their semi-auto sg counterpart. Not sure about "authenticity immersive feels stuff" but they've already added golden ak skins, chinese crappy experimental rifle, p90's, ksg's and such so yeah. Some weapon cosmetics are so out-of-place and could have been better done. They could have released a "VARIANT SKIN" like, instead of a blood-puke colored AKM, a variant skin would be: AKM = AKMS or AMD-63 AK74 = Tantal AK74, AK74S or plum/black polymer handguards and stock version M4A1 = M4 w/ diff. handguards & butt stock G3A3 = G3KA4 FAL = FAL with polymer stock M24 = M40 MK14 EBR = M14 or M1A And so on... That would have been content that I would actually consider buying. Instead of what we have now.
The maddening thing is that they put shit like the underfolder stock for the AKM which actually does add variety as one of the paid cosmetics. It's obnoxious that you can't just have variety without eye sore bling.

I think what devs do not realize is if the guns they added are not so different that it changes the meta, people would just use the older, more reliable guns like M870 and TOZ-194. This would just make their work kinda obsolete. Yeah sure, having 15 shells and a super big shotgun is cool, but if I can do just as good if not better with a cheaper, older, more reliable option, I would probably not change at all. Also, let's not forget about the spawn protection they added in this update simply because Prison is very easy to spawn camp. After playing both Insurgency 2 and Sandstorm, I realized that the reason why Insurgency 2 feels much better is that Sandstorm gave players a strong sense of being babysitted by the devs. The shenanigans we can pull off in Insurgency 2 is orders of magnitude more impactful than those in Sandstorm. I am still surprised that Sick Snipes have not yet made a video in the OG Insurgency 2 yet because if he has never played it, it would be a blast of experience.

I am Turk and ı gotta say a exotic-ish gun being used by Turkish Armed Forces isn't something new. Us Turks have the weirdest guns from all over the world like my Father is a Chief Constable so ı had a chance to look at police armory in Uşak which isn't even a big city and we had a f*cken MG3 in the armory along with AKMS which are pretty much taken from killed terorists in Syrian/Iraqi border , MP5A3's , G3A3's , MPT-76 (new Turkish rifle) some random ass Steyr made bolt action rifle that ı don't know the name of and ı heard that we had P90 somewhere. My Father has a ''Atmaca'' made pistol which is like a browning hi power clone , a CZ-75 and now a recently bought P2022. So ım honestly aren't that suprised that we have a UTS-15 in some cities or armed forces's arsenal like G3 and now MPT-76 is ''suppose'' to be our main rifle but we pretty much have guns from all over the world most likely acquired from random terrorists and shit that we just pick up and use.

They shouldve added the DP-12 double barrel double tube pump action shotgun that shoots 2 shots before pumping. Not only will that be more balance with the KS-23 it would be more interesting than the ksg
I really like the changing ammo types idea. Changing ammo types via switching tubes isn't even limited by the game's control scheme either. You don't have double tap R reloads for tube fed shotguns anyways so they could've had that control be the trigger for changing tubes. OOR.. the change fire rate button.

I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw my comment about my experience with the UTS. 🤣🤣🤣 But Keltec is what happens when you envision what would be an insanely cool gun but when you create it ends up being almost the entire line up of Hi-point, Chinese made shotguns, and Bullpup Shotguns for 300$ on Palmetto state armory. If you were to buy a KSG you need to roll a Nat 20 to be able to shoot and not have something go wrong. It is similar to flintlocks during the privateer/pirates era where it’s faster to throw away and pick up a new gun than to reload it. If you used this on a shotgun course you will be disqualified for using this shit tier gun and for wasting everyone’s time by reloading it. If you need more first hand knowledge on guns I would be more than happy to make you lose IQ points reading this bullshit as I write my experiences on my Porcelain throne taking a wicked shit. Did I say shit? I mean a KSG. If you think the KSG12 sucks balls…just wait till you see the KSG25. I swear to god I didn’t want to pick that bullshit up. Keltec triggers me to no ends. All I really want is for them to fix and expand on what’s already there. Most of the “add x gun” requests are just motivated by people wanting to larp, but can’t be arsed downloading ISMC and finding a server.
Part of me is very much that. But at the same time, I truely do not care that much since the guns devs added rarely shakes up the meta. I probably should try ISMC PVP.
meanwhile here i am, a co-op player, enjoying the two new shotguns as they are as well as the new map. could it have been better? definitely. but for me personally i found fun in it still (no I'm not discrediting more critical people, to each to their own. I'm just stating my own opinions)
I play co-op and I wish for death everytime I think about this game, I like the garand cause it's pretty, that is the ONLY reason I still play. Genuinely I would have uninstalled if that rifle hadn't come out and the second I get a game with a garand I like even half as much sandstorm is gone 0/10 still havent seen a sandstorm yet

Minor random gripe, The Vz. 58 mentioned at about 4:50 is not an AK reskin. Not only does it not shoot AK mags, but it also shoots at a significantly faster rate of fire
The VZ. 58 wasnt even based on the AK. It has a completelly different gas system and is linear hammer fired instead of rolling hammer fired. It uses a short stroke piston and it doesnt even share a single part of an AK. The only similarities in between the two weapons is the use of the same cartidge caliber. People calling it an AK reskin have never even looked at a gun iin their lives .

I know I just commented about how your MG3 video was a masterpiece, but this is a whole 'nother level. The fact that you can hear the fucking KSG getting reloaded over your entire commentary even if the popups obscure it is funny and fulfilling in a way I cannot describe. Looking back on this video after he quit, about halfway through the video you can tell when it goes from "I fucking hate this gun" to "i fucking hate this game and it's playerbase" and it's really funny
So the KSG does have a Tube lock, or Tube shut switch on the real ones. But the in game version doesn’t seem to have it modeled. However, from personal experience, the tube lock DOESN’T EVEN WORK: 1. If you pump hard enough in quick succession, the lock can be kicked and you start loading from both tubes again. 2. Dropping, bumping, and even vigorous shaking can cause the lock to kick off. 3. It may just be me, but the pumping action seems to get harder/require more effort when the Tube lock is engaged. 4. The KSG does not have an indicator on it for when your tube is dry. Which means you are counting shots. But when you switch the tube lock off, the Red Tab indicator does work. 5. The KSG has a tendency of “Failure to extract” when the Tube Switch is own. Specially if you use shorter shells. This doesn’t seem to be physically possible since “smaller shell means more room to fall out of hole” but that Tube switch does it. On a side note. The KSG buttpads are less than stellar. I mean, every shotgun is gonna hurt after 10 rounds. But the KSG’s pad might as well be made of Sheet iron and nail boards after round 8

I want a double-barrel shotgun. Would be a good way to balance a fast firing shotgun since it only has two shots before reloading. And since Sandstorm incorporates being unable to fire if your barrel interacts with an object in CQB, adding a sawn off option as an "attachment" would actually be useful!
Honestly, even through the new guns are not attrocious, I have 2 big gripes with them :
- They are not semi-automatic shotguns the community wanted
- Both of these weapon have unique traits in real life (unique ammo for the KS-23 and the ability to load 2 different ammo types for the KSG), but the guns don't have these unique traits in game even though the KSG has the ability to switch tubes in game.
- About the UTS-15, please no. That thing is unreliable as shit, despite being a pump actions which should be a very reliable system. Also, it's a goofy ahh gun, just like the freaking QTS-11
Oh and the KSG is a freaking KelTec, nobody uses KelTec because it's cheap shit that sure looks cool on paper, but doesn't work half the time.
Honestly, I feel like NWI changed like, pre-release, it was rather grounded and immersive but, now, it seems they just want to add stuff based on coolness factor and marketability instead of on immersion.
Kel tec is a u.s. made product that is affordable. I wouldn't go as far as to say it should be used in a combat setting, but I like my edc p32. As an owner of some, I'll admit I like my taurus better, which is not american made, and has the same reputation of being cheap..
While them adding shit based on coolness and marketability and agree with it for the most part, they almost completely back track because adding a Benelli probably would've brought just as many if not more people to this game then the ksg. So I don't even know what the hell they're doing at this point.
Kel tec could be a game changer in the firearms industry if they simply stopped using the cheapest plastic known to man like for fucks sake even airsoft guns are more solid and they break if you look at them wrong

It's sad to see how far this game strayed away from its original roots of conveying a degree of realism, grounded and authentic looking middle eastern conflicts when it comes to the theme. Ruined by some really bad post launch content.
The M1014 existed before in the original 2007 game that started this whole title. There are so many ways they could balance it for INS: Sandstorm. Maybe add the MP-155 for insurgents as their semi-auto sg counterpart. Not sure about "authenticity immersive feels stuff" but they've already added golden ak skins, chinese crappy experimental rifle, p90's, ksg's and such so yeah.
Some weapon cosmetics are so out-of-place and could have been better done. They could have released a "VARIANT SKIN" like, instead of a blood-puke colored AKM, a variant skin would be:
AKM = AKMS or AMD-63
AK74 = Tantal AK74, AK74S or plum/black polymer handguards and stock version
M4A1 = M4 w/ diff. handguards & butt stock
G3A3 = G3KA4
FAL = FAL with polymer stock
M24 = M40
MK14 EBR = M14 or M1A
And so on...
That would have been content that I would actually consider buying. Instead of what we have now.
The maddening thing is that they put shit like the underfolder stock for the AKM which actually does add variety as one of the paid cosmetics. It's obnoxious that you can't just have variety without eye sore bling.

Instead, it could have been a nice worn-out desert camo with some wraps or tape on the mags or pistol grip that fits the insurgent's overall rugged looks. But noooo. Golden ak's for everybody smh.

KSG: It appears my superiority has led to some controversy
I think what devs do not realize is if the guns they added are not so different that it changes the meta, people would just use the older, more reliable guns like M870 and TOZ-194. This would just make their work kinda obsolete. Yeah sure, having 15 shells and a super big shotgun is cool, but if I can do just as good if not better with a cheaper, older, more reliable option, I would probably not change at all.
Also, let's not forget about the spawn protection they added in this update simply because Prison is very easy to spawn camp. After playing both Insurgency 2 and Sandstorm, I realized that the reason why Insurgency 2 feels much better is that Sandstorm gave players a strong sense of being babysitted by the devs. The shenanigans we can pull off in Insurgency 2 is orders of magnitude more impactful than those in Sandstorm. I am still surprised that Sick Snipes have not yet made a video in the OG Insurgency 2 yet because if he has never played it, it would be a blast of experience.
Dude, there is no insurgency 2. There’s only Insurgency and Insurgency Sandstorm. And don’t tell me about the Insurgency Modern Combat. That is an old as hell conversion mod for Half life 2 multiplayer

I am Turk and ı gotta say a exotic-ish gun being used by Turkish Armed Forces isn't something new.
Us Turks have the weirdest guns from all over the world like my Father is a Chief Constable so ı had a chance to look at police armory in Uşak which isn't even a big city and we had a f*cken MG3 in the armory along with AKMS which are pretty much taken from killed terorists in Syrian/Iraqi border , MP5A3's , G3A3's , MPT-76 (new Turkish rifle) some random ass Steyr made bolt action rifle that ı don't know the name of and ı heard that we had P90 somewhere.
My Father has a ''Atmaca'' made pistol which is like a browning hi power clone , a CZ-75 and now a recently bought P2022.
So ım honestly aren't that suprised that we have a UTS-15 in some cities or armed forces's arsenal like G3 and now MPT-76 is ''suppose'' to be our main rifle but we pretty much have guns from all over the world most likely acquired from random terrorists and shit that we just pick up and use.

@@clintwestwood7891 Man literally went for the trade with Mortarion and proceeded to solo the entirety of the warp. Badass. I would say him and Valdor could at the very least solo some of the weaker primarchs like Lorgar as would Sigismund were it not that he fought the long fight till the end.

They shouldve added the DP-12 double barrel double tube pump action shotgun that shoots 2 shots before pumping. Not only will that be more balance with the KS-23 it would be more interesting than the ksg
I really like the changing ammo types idea. Changing ammo types via switching tubes isn't even limited by the game's control scheme either. You don't have double tap R reloads for tube fed shotguns anyways so they could've had that control be the trigger for changing tubes. OOR.. the change fire rate button.
I thought initially we would be getting the double barrel ksg like the one from pubg or the one shown by fps russia but instead we get a shotgun thats loads slower than a m240b from empty

But Keltec is what happens when you envision what would be an insanely cool gun but when you create it ends up being almost the entire line up of Hi-point, Chinese made shotguns, and Bullpup Shotguns for 300$ on Palmetto state armory.
If you were to buy a KSG you need to roll a Nat 20 to be able to shoot and not have something go wrong. It is similar to flintlocks during the privateer/pirates era where it’s faster to throw away and pick up a new gun than to reload it. If you used this on a shotgun course you will be disqualified for using this shit tier gun and for wasting everyone’s time by reloading it.
If you need more first hand knowledge on guns I would be more than happy to make you lose IQ points reading this bullshit as I write my experiences on my Porcelain throne taking a wicked shit. Did I say shit? I mean a KSG.
If you think the KSG12 sucks balls…just wait till you see the KSG25. I swear to god I didn’t want to pick that bullshit up. Keltec triggers me to no ends. I would rather see them add the Hi-point carbine in the Breacher class than this Steaming pile of Tyrannosaurus shit.

All I really want is for them to fix and expand on what’s already there. Most of the “add x gun” requests are just motivated by people wanting to larp, but can’t be arsed downloading ISMC and finding a server.
Part of me is very much that. But at the same time, I truely do not care that much since the guns devs added rarely shakes up the meta. I probably should try ISMC PVP.

I play co-op and I wish for death everytime I think about this game, I like the garand cause it's pretty, that is the ONLY reason I still play.

The Vz. 58 mentioned at about 4:50 is not an AK reskin. Not only does it not shoot AK mags, but it also shoots at a significantly faster rate of fire
So, an Ak resking
The VZ. 58 wasnt even based on the AK. It has a completelly different gas system and is linear hammer fired instead of rolling hammer fired. It uses a short stroke piston and it doesnt even share a single part of an AK. The only similarities in between the two weapons is the use of the same cartidge caliber. People calling it an AK reskin have never even looked at a gun iin their lives .
@RTX El Risitas (aka El Risitas Fanboi) bud, saying the Vz. 58 is a reskin of the AKM is like saying the AUG is a reskin of the M4A1.
Like another comment says, the only thing in common with the Vz and the AKM is how they look and what caliber it fires. That’s it.

Half of the top cover moves with each shot, it also has different proportions and look. Like the manual controls (ej. the selector switch) or the furniture which is made of a polymer. Yeah it is "similar" but not the same. It would require a completely different model.

Looking back on this video after he quit, about halfway through the video you can tell when it goes from "I fucking hate this gun" to "i fucking hate this game and it's playerbase" and it's really funny
So the KSG does have a Tube lock, or Tube shut switch on the real ones. But the in game version doesn’t seem to have it modeled.
However, from personal experience, the tube lock DOESN’T EVEN WORK:
1. If you pump hard enough in quick succession, the lock can be kicked and you start loading from both tubes again.
2. Dropping, bumping, and even vigorous shaking can cause the lock to kick off.
3. It may just be me, but the pumping action seems to get harder/require more effort when the Tube lock is engaged.
4. The KSG does not have an indicator on it for when your tube is dry. Which means you are counting shots. But when you switch the tube lock off, the Red Tab indicator does work.
5. The KSG has a tendency of “Failure to extract” when the Tube Switch is own. Specially if you use shorter shells. This doesn’t seem to be physically possible since “smaller shell means more room to fall out of hole” but that Tube switch does it.
On a side note. The KSG buttpads are less than stellar. I mean, every shotgun is gonna hurt after 10 rounds. But the KSG’s pad might as well be made of Sheet iron and nail boards after round 8
