honestly if there was any electronics channel i liked other than neso academy then its this
I have a suggestion. Since there are no notifications for the community posts, how about using these solution posts as a notification?
In other words, whenever you post a solution you also post a new problem in the community tab.
You still post solutions every 3 days or so (same rhythm as now), but in this way when people come to check the solution of the previous problem they know there will be a new one posted and can start engaging in solving it right away. They will also have more time to think about the new problem, and don't have to check everyday to see if it was posted or not.
Anyway, just a suggestion.
EXCELLENT 👍
When IR>IR max, how the voltage across R resister becomes less than 6V? It is 6V when IR=IR max, when IR> IR max, isn’t it greater than 6V??
No, it won't. Here Ir (max) is 75 mA. If Ir is more than that, then the Zener diode will be open-circuited. And the circuit consists of a voltage source and two resistors. ( 50 ohms and R).
Let's say R = 5 ohm, so Zener diode is not conducting in that case. And the current through R = 10V / (50 + 5) = 181 mA.
And in that case, the voltage across R is 181mA*5 ohm = 0.9V
So, it will be always less than 6V.
You can try with any value. If you take very large value of R, let's say 500 ohm, then Zener diode is already conducting and that will prevent the voltage across R to go beyond 6V.
I hope it will clear your doubt.
