It's fucking beautiful and it feels and look like a prestigious belt. Something that wwe belts has lacked for the last decade with the exception of going back to the old IC title.

The Belt costs $2000 and there was definitely more than 12 made.

The actual belt is 5 layers and costs $10,000 to make. Dave Milligan himself told me the price (of the actual belt used in Japan, not replica) and he also told he this belt was under trademark with NJPW where he wasnt allowed to make replicas of this belt but he could with any other belt. Idk if that changed but if it didn't, this guy could get in legal trouble if he tries to sell this belt. Very nice belt. I want one lol....

Love this belt, i got the one from classic shields, I have a brief review on my channel. the gold tip with the IWGP champion on it is a homage to the 1st version of the belt. On my belt the nameplate on the sides are similar size

I wish I knew how to get one of these. The only ones I have saw seem like sketchy buys so far. This belt is amazing and my favorite belt in all of wrestling.

I would love to see IWGP CHAMP wrestle the NWA CHAMP at some point, whoever they are at that point...these are the 2 championships I recognize as WORLD CHAMPION
there's so many replicas of this title that it's hard for me to find the current one and who's currently holding it now because there will be more IWGP champions in the future and more names will added until the last wrestler gets to hold it and that will be tough to add more names on the belt and the only way that could happen is by making it more longer if not bigger but overall this title means some special and I dare say Japan wrestling's crown jewel of all champions that it makes any wrestling even the past ones who held it as the kings of the ring of all the promotions out there.

I want to make one out of cardboard and some construction like paper, its a VERY detailed belt and watching this video kind of discouraged me because, again, its a VERY complicated and detailed belt. That being said im going to make another belt first and get a feel for making stuff then maybe make it :)

That's the only Championship Title Belt in Pro Wrestling that's treated as a sports Title and has the look of it. The AEW Title Belt comes close, but they're still more storyline style wrestling than sports presentation they promised to be.
This will be the final belt in my collection, I need two more prior.

Yeah... Paul they go for prices in the £1,000s. It's in real belt money. And you can't get them outside of Japan unless you have a friend to ship 'em over.
Michael Morrow they do ship worldwide but it’s based on a one order per household basis. The shipping is criminally low. It was like $18 to ship it to the US

Michael Morrow shipping to the uk would only of been maybe £20 but the customs fees coming in via Japan were going to be horrendous so it was easier shipping to a friend in the US who in turn shipped it here making the customs much more tolerable

I have a question: All the names on the side plates, are those all the Champions that have been IWGP Heavyweight Champion? Or are some left off for whatever reason?
I think it only shows who held the particular version of the belt. But I could be wrong.
All of the former IWGP champions and leaves room for future champions.

New Japan is doing another replica run on their website fyi. Bad news is its all in Japanese. It would take some work to get it translated so you could understand what all you would need to do to get one. Not sure if they take Paypal or not.

Their actual belt looks absolutely terrible these days. All the gold plating is wore off, the jewels are missing. It's beat to hell. Nice to see what it looked like in its glory.
