- Heading up north and venturing into the wilderness of the Scottish Highlands is something I've loved to do for many years now. Having been to remote locations such as Knoydart, Sutherland, Skye and Rannoch, this time we took ourselves to the Kintail mountains, leading to Glen Affric and Loch Ness. Despite covering a relatively short distance of 60 miles, the geography of the landscape varied greatly from the ad-hoc trail run around Birnam Hill to the mountain passes of Kintail, before reaching the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest of Glen Affric and the mythical depths of the famous Loch Ness. Camera footage and photographs will never truly justify the landscape, but hopefully this video montage goes some way to providing a little insight into our latest adventure.
