  • The Master g22 has been a very popular airbrush on amazon for some time. Partially because its very cheap price tag. However is it worth having? What can you really expect from a cheap airbrush in todays market!

    As I also pinned on the second video. By no means are these as good as an iwata/creos/ or even a sparmax airbrush. However i am very aware many people are not going to spend a significant amount of money to see if this is something they want to do. (i mentioned elsewhere I bought an airbrush to spray a few things through stencils long before I got into art)

    I love the inside of the cup for cleaning. It's like the original HP-C, which is and has been my workhorse for the better part of 15 years.

    I've been using the G22 for about 3 years now to do light airbrush work, I like it for a cheap brush.

    Can you use this on an acoustic guitar mainly the top surface area. ? Took my pickguard off and now I feel compelled to tattoo it up.

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      of course, painting guitars is fairly common. Less common to paint acoustics because people are concerned over the mil thickness of paint affecting tone.
      But if you are going to paint an acoustic (with art) an airbrush is by far the best way to do so. Due to very low paint film thickness required.
      What paint to use is the deeper discussion,
      Personally im a fan of water based lacquer topcoats on acoustics.

    Link to the replacement needles and nozzles plus nozzle tool doesn't work. All the other links do.

    why do I have to constantly move the trigger back and forth for paint to come out

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      probably paint to thick or a clogged airbrush. But likely paint too thick for a .3 and possibly pressure too low.

    I can’t do fine lines with mine. It just splatters up close

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Splatters up close come down to a combination of viscosity and air pressure and most important trigger control.

    Hey what do you think about this brush for running leather dye through it? Loooking to go airbrush for my staining applications

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will run leather dye fine.. you will have to keep after the cleaning and careful with the nozzles. you may want to look at the timbertech.. Particularly the 183k i did a review on. it will be more durable with a lot more versatility however. And at the same price point :)

      @@TheAIRspace awesome I'll check that out then. I appreciate the info! As long as I'm cleaning it well should I be able to use colors and darker/blacks on one brush?

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@spacemanplayz5690 absolutely just clean between you really dont have to dissassemble clean. just keep it rinsed well . a little isopropyl on the alchohol based dyes will clean them right up. a paint brush to dissolve any dried product and the dyes should clean very easy.

    The shape of the cup makes no sense to me. I paint miniatures, so I am going to be pointing the nozzle toward the ground 99 percent of the time. Therefore, gravity is going to make the paint in the cup flow towards the front of the cup and not directly into the feeder opening. What?!

    • @TheAIRspace
      @TheAIRspace  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i can see that being a concern for some.. Perhaps you would prefer a side fed airbrush.

    • @SpoonyBard88
      @SpoonyBard88 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheAIRspace it does seem like a better setup, but honesly I bought another brush from Harbor Freight that just has cup that funnels the liquid better and it has been less annoying. Now I most just use this for priming and varnishes because I care less about it getting messed up. I won't ever do illustration with an airbrush, but this info has been very helpful.
