i’m really not a fan of the dragons leaving, especially in the third movie. goes against the whole message of humans and dragons working together imo, like, you won’t see us sending lions to a hole in the ground bc we’re done trying to protect them xD
I cried through the end of the movie, but for this series, I was emotionless throughout this scene. We know it will repeat because the developers aren't done milking this thing.
But that’s always been the story. Hiccup telling the story of why dragons aren’t around anymore. “There were dragons when I was a boy.” Was the first line from the books.

Heck if we are going by this logic the third movie wouldn’t even exist since in books 1. Light fury doesn’t exist 2.Dragons talk in the books 3. In the relationship between Vikings and dragons was equivalent of slavery(excluding hiccups treatment of toothless,the small dragon) which in the movies is the absolute opposite of the Vikings relationship with the dragons. In the movie Vikings and dragons co-exist and benefit from each other while in the books the relationship is constantly portrayed as toxic for many reasonable reasons.(Master and Slave) 4. Toothless didn’t leave hiccup in the books. They stayed together UNTIL hiccup was an old man. The dragons leaving also didn't take a few minutes. It took decades for them to slowly leave and even then hundreds stayed and still remain with us today however we can't see them since every dragon in the books can camouflage 5. Hidden world, movie settings and grimmel and most characters including Astrid NEVER existed in the books.

This hurts to see since its harder for them than it was in Hiccup's time. Back then in The Hidden World, most of the people in Berk were adults and knew that this was what was best for their dragons. Right now in The Nine Realms, the main cast are still just kids. They had to do something that Hiccup did when he was an adult, letting go With Hiccup and Toothless, they both were fighting for a world that they wanted, only to see it can't happen because it was never meant to be, and set them free to fend for themselves In Tom and Thunder's time, they both had to learn together about how this world's cruelty, and learn that the dragons can't come in peace without the cruelty of humankind Despite what people say of The Nine Realms, there is one thing that's clear, and that is a bother to me History repeats itself
First the original riders, now the next gen said goodbye to their dragons like Hiccup and all of Berk. The secret of dragons will always be kept safe. 😢
Even though this series ended bittersweet, Ending it like this was still for the best. Because it's like the dragon riders have been saying throughout the whole series, The modern world is too dangerous for dragons. And if their existence was ever exposed to the modern world then people would hunt and or poach them in order to sell them for profit and experiment on them. Because there are too many Buzzsaws and Sledkins in the world. So yeah, It's a good that they ended this show by copying the ending of the 3rd HTTYD film.
Wonder if they'll return in 2024 cause it will be good for the riders 16 and 18 years old and see there dragons again and make new friends and more dragon families and discover new dragons and new realms and discover more viking stuff and paintings
It’s always hard to say goodbye to the people you care for but history always repeats itself wether you like it or not the dragons don’t belong and aren’t safe because of People who will use them for the wrong reasons
Tom and Jun will return with their kids and show them the dragons and promise to keep the secret. Those children will carry on the secret and they will bring their children back too. The secret of dragons carries on.
Would it *really* have killed them to actually say that friendship between humans and dragons is worth fighting for instead of just sticking them in a hole (again)
1:33 I had a feeling that Eugene and Alex would get together. There was no doubt about a second relationship in Dragon Club. It could’ve gone both ways with Eugene and D'Angelo. But Alex’s relationship with Eugene was stronger.

They didn’t end as a couple but there’s a spark. And maybe in the new series when they’re older they get together, like Tom and Jun.
While the nine realms series changed a lot and isn't exactly like the httyd we know and love, the bond between a rider and dragon will never change, a legacy of hiccup and toothless that stays with those future riders🤘😭🤘
@@renemuz2568 I honestly think the ending of giving up on your dreams and releasing the dragons into the hidden world was a terrible idea in general. It was poorly executed and even the writer didn’t like doing it(deandeblois) he had originally planned for Drago Bludvist to be a crucial part of the third film but Universal forced him and his team to come up with something less dark since apperantly “no one would be interested in Drago Bludvist” so if anyone’s to blame for all of this it’s Universal. I’m pretty sure they’re also the ones that made Dragons: The Nine Realms and rushed both animators and writers for this project
And nothing of value was lost that day. They literally just re-use the entire ending to movie 3, which essentially makes this show even more meaningless dfkjghdjgdg
1 03 I just love how they acknowledge Sledkin was worse than Buzzsaw and the true villain of the series. And I knew Buzzsaw would go straight when I saw him looking at Dagurs picture.
No matter what happens people will always see dragons as a threat,money or more,but letting them go and be safe is the right choice.Hiccup knew it was the right call to protect the dragons and Thunder knew it as well.Even though this might be the last time we see the dragons,but at least we know they will always be safe as they were all those years ago.

HTTYD 3: Emotional and sad, why? Because we grew up with these characters, and made connections with them when we were younger. Nine Realms: Not too powerful, why? Because the creators tried to copy and paste the emotions in a low budget form... literally.
I narrated the Audio Description for this show (at least on Hulu and Peacock in the US, I don't know if other countries/streamers have different Audio Description tracks)...and this was a pretty tear-jerking scene to record for.
Pretty funny how the characters point out how it makes no sense for them to separate after they succeeded as that’s the same problem with the third movie’s ending. I understand the point of things don’t last forever, but why do they keep doing this then? Hiccup said “Our world doesn’t deserve you yet.” Hiccup: AKA the most pure human when it comes to dragons, says that he can’t defend them (even though they did against the biggest forces imaginable) If that’s the case, the world will NEVER be ready for dragons. Instead of the characters driving the plot, it’s become the plot driving the characters. I know this was all done to end it the same way that the original books did, but two things, one, the books and movies series are nearly entirely different, and second, the books didn’t end with all of the dragons leaving. I hate it when writers decide to do something for the sake of the audiences emotions, regardless of how much sense it makes.
I understand why they let them go in modern era because people would profit off dragons or make them go extinct however I wholeheartedly agree on your statement about the third movie. No one not even the writers themselves thought it was a good idea. We must all blame Universal for forcing the writers to change their original script into this abomination you call “storytelling”

Me too, I could have at least 10 seasons, they gave the series their best and there are people who think it's rubbish, I respect it, if the person doesn't like it then why watch it? But I'm going to miss the series a lot so I'm going to have to wait for my country to post season 7 and 8 to watch it

The dragons must leave once again. But they'll be back. They like to leave small signs and hints that they're out there, waiting for the right people to find them. Waiting for the day when they can come to the surface for good. What is an ending but a new beginning?
The HTTYD riders and the T9R Riders will always deserve the dragons because they treat them well, but if the rest of the world doesn't do it like Buzzsaw (even though he redeemed himself) and Sledkin (who died beyond redemption), the dragons can't take risks, after 1,300 years since the Viking Age, there are still people who want to abuse dragons to obtain power, control or have benefits (fame and money) regardless of what happens to people or animals.
It's technically 4 but the team used a branding strategy and split the seasons in half to make it seem like the show is doing better than it actually is

History repeats itself. Hiccup trained the dragons, and then he had to let them go so they could be safe from bad people. Centuries later, his descendant had to do the same thing, say good bye. Looking back at all the HTTYD films and shows, and this series. There will always be bad people who will hunt down dragons, and use them as weapons of mass destruction. Alvin the Treacherous, Mildew, Dagur the Deranged, Ryker Grimborn, Viggo Grimborn, Krogan, Drago Bludvist, Grimmel the Grisley, Dragon Hunters, Dragon Trapper, Dragon Flyers. And in this century, Buzzsaw and Sledkin. And don't get me started on Trader Johann or "Traitor" Johann. And because of people like them, dragons will never be safe on the service world, they had to send them underground in the Hidden World to keep them safe. The World can't be trusted with dragons, the Riders fought a lot of wars to protect the dragons, Stoick got killed in the crossfire when he took the blast, that was meant for Hiccup. And how many times has Berk nearly been destroyed by these wars. They had to flee Berk to find a new home, if they've kept the dragons with them, they would only put themselves in danger. Hiccup had to send them away to keep them safe, and to keep his people safe from getting caught in the crossfire. Like Stoick said, "A chief protects his own." That's what Hiccup did, he protected his own, his family, his friends, his tribe and the dragons. He did the right thing, it was time for the dragons to look out for themselves. Hiccup already lost his father, he couldn't bear to lose anyone else he cared about to this war of dragons, especially his mother, the love of his life and his best friend, Toothless. Both Hiccup and Tom tried their best to bring humans and dragons together, it just didn't work out. Cause the world is broken, there will always be evil lurking around the shadows, waiting for their time to strike. It's best for the dragons to remain in the Hidden World. No humans can ever know about it, or the dragons.
@@MegaBond101 It's true. As long as the humans and dragons remained together, they put themselves at risk. Stoick payed the price of it, they couldn't afford to lose anyone else. And if you don't like it, then so be it, I didn't. But I accepted what happened, now it's time to move on.
Sorry to everyone who actually enjoys the show, you are free to like what you want but I just hate this show so much. They just copied the ending from the last httyd movie and called it a day, literally so uncreative and effortless.

I remember seeing a scene where they shoved hiccup's peg leg into the mouth of a snow wreath and it broke into pieces. I was not happy about that.
How the characters could know it was Hiccup's leg ? At that point they didn't know mich about him and Tom didn't this leg belonged to his ancestor

Im gonna lay my thoughts down and say they reunite one last time in leu of HTTYD3's epilogue, though I don't want to give DWTV any ideas
The HTTYD riders and the T9R Riders will always deserve the dragons because they treat them well, but if the rest of the world doesn't do it like Buzzsaw (even though he redeemed himself) and Sledkin (who died beyond redemption), the dragons can't take risks, after 1,300 years since the Viking Age, there are still people who want to abuse dragons to obtain power, control or have benefits (fame and money) regardless of what happens to people or animals.
The fact that this dumpster fire of a HTTYD series got 8 seasons is mind boggling.
It's technically 4 but the team used a branding strategy and split the seasons in half to make it seem like the show is doing better than it actually is

History repeats itself. Hiccup trained the dragons, and then he had to let them go so they could be safe from bad people. Centuries later, his descendant had to do the same thing, say good bye. Looking back at all the HTTYD films and shows, and this series. There will always be bad people who will hunt down dragons, and use them as weapons of mass destruction. Alvin the Treacherous, Mildew, Dagur the Deranged, Ryker Grimborn, Viggo Grimborn, Krogan, Drago Bludvist, Grimmel the Grisley, Dragon Hunters, Dragon Trapper, Dragon Flyers. And in this century, Buzzsaw and Sledkin. And don't get me started on Trader Johann or "Traitor" Johann. And because of people like them, dragons will never be safe on the service world, they had to send them underground in the Hidden World to keep them safe. The World can't be trusted with dragons, the Riders fought a lot of wars to protect the dragons, Stoick got killed in the crossfire when he took the blast, that was meant for Hiccup. And how many times has Berk nearly been destroyed by these wars. They had to flee Berk to find a new home, if they've kept the dragons with them, they would only put themselves in danger. Hiccup had to send them away to keep them safe, and to keep his people safe from getting caught in the crossfire. Like Stoick said, "A chief protects his own." That's what Hiccup did, he protected his own, his family, his friends, his tribe and the dragons. He did the right thing, it was time for the dragons to look out for themselves. Hiccup already lost his father, he couldn't bear to lose anyone else he cared about to this war of dragons, especially his mother, the love of his life and his best friend, Toothless. Both Hiccup and Tom tried their best to bring humans and dragons together, it just didn't work out. Cause the world is broken, there will always be evil lurking around the shadows, waiting for their time to strike. It's best for the dragons to remain in the Hidden World. No humans can ever know about it, or the dragons.

@@MegaBond101 It's true. As long as the humans and dragons remained together, they put themselves at risk. Stoick payed the price of it, they couldn't afford to lose anyone else. And if you don't like it, then so be it, I didn't. But I accepted what happened, now it's time to move on.
Even though many don't like the series, I respect that they don't like it, but I really like it, it was one of the best series this year for me.
