    Thank you! Lol I just bought a new battery because I couldn’t get the light to stay on. I wish I had seen your video before I made my purchase of a new battery. I just installed my new battery & low & behold the little red light shut off after about 60 seconds. Now I know nothing is wrong, thanks to your video. Very helpful, thanks!

    You just prevented me from hyper freaking ventilating. I was so distraught just now I was literally crying I got the 890. Refurbished which is still a lot of freaking money... Is dead cuz I didn't charge it last night, and I went to charge it and it was doing this red flash then turning off... Thank you so much for this...

    The reason why the lights shut off is so it can conserve energy and yes this is completely normal and i have a roomba 960 and it does the same thing.

    My battery lightness always orange and I get an audible message that says an error #8.

      I googled it and it read that the battery isn’t charging and you have to check that you are using an authentic IRobot battery . Hope that helps

    Actually, the Roomba will turn off after 1 min but the home base will turn off after five seconds. You can also see if the Roomba is charging if you press the dock button and the it does not do anything.
    I am a Roomba expert so don’t say I’m wrong.
