I want to pray much better than I currently do. My prayer life is basically dead. Please lift me up in prayer that God would Bless me with a very good robust prayer life.
I searched for a video on prayer and the first one that popped up was this one. I also struggle with prayer. Sometimes I go for days without seeking the Lord. I am deeply ashamed of my lack of diligence in this discipline and wonder if I just don't have enough faith? May the Lord help us, His weaker saints.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved” Jesus said in John 6:47 “verily verily I say unto you he that believes in me has everlasting life” If you believe you have eternal life. Jesus died for our sins and rose again. If we believe the gospel we are saved and can know that our sins are forgiven.

Love the Holy Spirit working through Paul Washer! And, it is amazing that apostles only asked Jesus to teach them to pray and nothing else. Shows how important prayer is!
Just watched this a second time. It looks like I'm going to have to listen a few more times. This is something I really need to meditate on for a long while!
Pastor Washer, for too many years of my life I did not have the guts to even stand and teach my kids, my grandkids and my great grandkids about GOD . But now as I have " one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peeling ", I'm running out of time - maybe ! I have taught all of them as babies that God made this and that and told them to tell Jesus "Good Morning " first thing when they wake up . At the right time I have told them God expects them to be virgins when they marry . All my teaching was sorta shallow but maybe to the point . I hope to improve and learn to show others and myself how for us to get our healing thru our faith from God ! Do u see now that u have helped a lot of dummies just like me ?
Prayer is a vitally important component of life, and it gives me no pleasure at all to confess to having been neglectful of it. I'm a very *nervous* , *anxious* type of person (47 years old + male), and it recently occurred to me that whenever I "appear" to grow in confidence... it is only because I've allowed (subconsciously and unwittingly) my mind into the possession some other *thing* - or some other *one* ... but almost certainly a demonic entity. I continue in this fools' paradise for several weeks (sometimes several months) at a time ; but always, in the end, I finish up being brought to my knees (full of sorrow and repentance)... before resuming the same vicious cycle 😔 😢 I belong to a church, and yet my prayer life continues to be poor. I do seem to *write* my prayers far better than I'm able to say them 📝 ; perhaps if could join some new online prayer meetings... where prayers are *typed* rather than *spoken* !?

(Acts 9:11) NOTE: If Jesus who was God, very God, in human flesh who never sinned prayed then how ought we mortal sinners to pray and beseech the Lord for His tender mercies and grace to save us and keep us by His almighty power. Thank you. I recently found some of your lessons Paul. The Lord’s Prayer does teach us very well how to pray. So why haven’t we learned from it? In my case..I learned the prayer like a poem ..I could recite it but I never read it with understanding..”our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be they name...” there it is..dont we greet our loved ones with “I love you...your the best...your best mum ever” etc etc.... Start a prayer telling God we love him and He’s the best thing that ever happened to us!!! When I slowly read The Lord’s Prayer and applied it in this way...I learned prayer is easy...talk with Him, greet Him, let Him know how we are feeling, let Him know we are concerned for others and Let Him know we love and appreciate Him. Amen!
I love you Lord God You are my king and my friend I'm glad to serve you always Give me only the things I'll need for today Forgive me for sinning against you, dad And for making my siblings feel angry God protect me from those who will hurt me And don't let me fall back into sin Thank you, God I'll be coming home soon Amen.
This! Most people will just speed up through the Lord's Prayer, repeating the words without even thinking about the true sense behind them. But it's not supposed to be a race. We should pray slowly, realising what we are saying. Every part of the Prayer is important: greet Him...give Him praise...acknowledge that HE is the Only One in charge on Earth and in Heaven, forever (how many people are actually ready to fully submit to His Will and deny their own wants, no matter how they feel about His wishes?)...ask for sustenance...ask for forgiveness...cry out for help (deliver us from evil)...because HE is the Only One who can deliver us (for Thy is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory) now and forever. It's true.

Mr. Washer, I don’t know what’s wrong, but I prayed for you. You had a pack at one time, yes? In college, and was that not a blessing to you? God has blessed the packs that you mentioned, blessed them with each other, is that wrong? I have no doubt that there will come a season in their lives, if they are true men of God, that they will be alone. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He knows how to grow His saints. @@jojygeorge1626 I am no pastor as far as I know, and I’ve said not a single word to you up until now. I merely presented you with three passages of scripture. That being said, children are always watching their parents. That much cannot be denied. That’s why it’s critical that your _actions_ align with your _words_ instead of testifying to your hypocrisy, which will lead children far away from God. Not that He can’t miraculously bring them back around, but that doesn’t make it God’s plan to demonstrate to your kids that it’s normal to be double-minded, unstable in all your ways, as a house divided against itself. Nor does the fact that children are always watching mean that you don’t have to raise your children in the way they should go and leave it all to “situations”. You are the parents. God gave you your children and the responsibility to raise them up, and in His word He commands that you do so. Saying that you don’t need to teach them because you only need to worry about yourselves and let the situations around them do the rest is not biblical parenting. “Situations” don’t have the power to teach your children that they are in need of repentance or why or to convict their souls of their sin in due time, and you as the parents can’t do that either. The truth is, just because you train them up right doesn’t mean that _you_ brought them to the Lord. It only means that you stood on God’s promise to do it Himself. Likewise, throwing off the responsibility from yourselves to fall instead on whatever happens in this life is to dodge the issue and not do the job God has given you in your children’s lives. It is a lie. One that I’m sure the enemy would be very happy to have you, and every Christian, believe. In short, just because children are watching you and checking your words against your actions doesn’t mean you don’t need to instruct them. God gave you your children and commands you to raise them properly. (That is, according to the Bible). If you need direction, search the Bible thoroughly and pray. Even fast if necessary. Asking people to pray for you is fine, but you need to pray for you and your family for yourself. To be honest with you, I think maybe for the time being you should focus a little less on receiving the Holy Spirit and instead focus on holiness. Fill yourself with the truth of God’s Word. Search His living Word (the Holy Bible), think on it day and night each and every day, let His Words come out of your lips, pray, seek God’s face-not for gifts or blessings or Spirit or power, but as a servant to do whatever He commands you to do. If you want God’s guidance, then do whatever He says. That’s exactly what His commands are for, to guide you in the way you should go. Obey the Lord. In all things. In all your ways acknowledge Him. Not because His Spirit makes you feel good, which it does. Not because it gives you peace, although it does. Not for power, although He is the very source of all power and authority. Obey Him because He is your sovereign Lord. Obey Him because He is God. Because He is utterly and eternally holy by His own nature. Because He _demands_ such obedience from you. Because to ignore or scoff that demand is to store up God’s judgement and wrath against you. If you live this way, God will surely pour out His Holy Spirit upon you according to His Word in due time according to His own will to do so. That’s up to God.
I'd like to find the video of the 1st time I heard you tell of your determination to meet God! You talk about shutting yourself in the closet in your college dorm & throwing rocks to the sky yelling at God to Show Himself to you. Where can we find that great video? It's so inspiring.
Please pray for my children to be brought home to me safely this year and for their abusers to be caught and stopped and prosecuted to the full extent of the law in Jesus's holy name. Please pray specifically for the TRUTH to be brought out in an unignorable way with abundant conclusive evidence and that anyone who has sexually molested them is appropriately dealt with.
Good message. I was a little surprised to hear you say that Jesus, the second or last Adam reversed or undid what resulted from the first Adam. Most people today put all kinds of conditions on what Jesus did and many believe that it only applies to a certain few chosen ones (elect). It is refreshing to hear someone affirm that the condition that came upon ALL mankind in Adam was reversed or undone in ALL humanity in Christ the Last Adam. That really is good news.
Btw I ministered to the homeless for 35 years. The Lord fed over half million people through my ministry. With legs noone should have been able to walk on. Jesus used this mess. Those who have been forgiven much love much.
The scene where all the disciples were in the camp complaining against each other and telling each others their faults, and Jesus walks back from healing a multitude very worn out barely able to say goodnight... It taught them a lesson, and it should teach us one too. Jesus saw the multitude and had compassion on then, while the disciples were too busy seeing each others faults.
@@jonathannunez3632 yes brother. That is the exact scene. That scene caused me to read the scriptures differently and stop seeing the life of Jesus as "cute".
I love this message. Jesus ministered alot but He Always spoke the truth, even if it was hard to hear. If we all could believe whatever we wanted to it no longer becomes a truth we can count on. There is only one truth, the Word of God. It is inerrant, it can be trusted. And it never changes. That is why we can trust it. Trust Him! Jesus taught us to pray the Lords prayer. Actually Jesus could never pray it because He had no sin. His prayer is in John 17. But when we say the Our Father it is comforting to know the word for Father is ABBA which means daddy. I pray the Lord bless you.
Paul Washer if you see this Comment , you use to scare me 5 years ago and sometimes I get mad at you lol but now im just glad The Lord used a humble wretch(you) to help weaker wretches(Me and some others) how to love Christ in prayer and truth!

There's no way you will turn away and pretend you didn't see anything ! Trust me GOD will give you GUTS you never ever dreamed of having because most good people are timid and shy !
Paul people need to know how to believe, there's lots of people claim to pray, but the problem is no one know who they pray to, most people don't believe in the power of the holy ghost that christ said that we received by the promise he sent to us, it's a shame when people say they believe in salvation but don't believe that along with that we received the holy ghost and the power that comes along with that , but no one is demonstrating the power, the power is the real manifestation of the God, that's why many are preaching the bible , but no real conversions , the holy ghost is the real praise of God when it does it through what we have received by God ,
I committed the sin of revelation 22:18-19... I deliberately and intentionally one time In my youth recorded a Bible verse when texting messaging someone when we were arguing. I was in a dark place and time of anger. I want to repent.. im remorseful for what I done.. I wouldn't dare do it again. But I don't think God will forgive me. I'm sad and desperate.. but when I look to the cross something points me away... as if it's not for me I crossed the line. I've confessed it and repented. It wasn't till years later I heard the TRUE Gospel and understood it. Is there hope? Or did God take My part out of the book of life? Is it irrevocable? Or unforgivable?
Jordan, you say "when I look to the Cross something points me away..." and that something would be UNBELIEF. Whatever feelings of unbelief you have, are they anything in comparison to the many promises of God to forgive those who come to Him? You say you have done some great sin, but what about our great Savior and His finished work on the Cross? Why not look there rather than at yourself? Look at His offer to the sinner: Revelation 22:17 - And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. - Yet the issue is as John 5:40 - you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life. -- Come to Christ - th-cam.com/video/iRVAsBmzlE8/w-d-xo.html
@@illbehonestI appreciate your reply to me. I just want to rest in the cross but the word says "God shall take away that man's part out of the book of life" so if I believe on Jesus He will forgive this sin? I thought it said He will remove my part out. And add plagues unto me

Luke 13:1-5 New Living Translation A Call to Repentance 13 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. 2 “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee?” Jesus asked. “Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”

I have no doubt that there will come a season in their lives, if they are true men of God, that they will be alone.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He knows how to grow His saints. Let God grow them

Brother Paul is a fine man of GOD.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” ~Proverbs 22:6
“Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what should we do?’ Peter replied, ‘Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away -all who have been called by the Lord our God.’ “ ~Acts 2:37-39

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 1:3-6

I am no pastor as far as I know, and I’ve said not a single word to you up until now.
God bless p
Tq brother Paul Washer.🙏🙏🤲 To make more understand the Jesus Christ.

Reminds me of the chosen Season 2 Episode 3 @thechosen
The scene where all the disciples were in the camp complaining against each other and telling each others their faults, and Jesus walks back from healing a multitude very worn out barely able to say goodnight... It taught them a lesson, and it should teach us one too. Jesus saw the multitude and had compassion on then, while the disciples were too busy seeing each others faults.
@@jonathannunez3632 yes brother. That is the exact scene. That scene caused me to read the scriptures differently and stop seeing the life of Jesus as "cute".
That was exactly what I was thinking while I was listening.
I wonder what Paul Washers opinion is of The Chosen ??
@@paulwells4372 i would also love to know.

Thanks chat me up for your healing and deliverance
Paul people need to know how to believe, there's lots of people claim to pray, but the problem is no one know who they pray to, most people don't believe in the power of the holy ghost that christ said that we received by the promise he sent to us, it's a shame when people say they believe in salvation but don't believe that along with that we received the holy ghost and the power that comes along with that , but no one is demonstrating the power, the power is the real manifestation of the God, that's why many are preaching the bible , but no real conversions , the holy ghost is the real praise of God when it does it through what we have received by God ,
Great, God bless.

Paul Washer always seems on the verge of tears and collapse? Is it just me?
Me too. But I like him
I committed the sin of revelation 22:18-19...

Luke 13:1-5
New Living Translation
A Call to Repentance
13 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple.

He’s been coming “soon” for the last 2000 years. So what do you mean by “soon”??
