I love these projects Jonny. Yes, a person could buy a pair, but sometimes the gratification of making your own is worth it. I love that they were made with scrap too. 20 years from now, you will look at those and remember the project with fondness.

This is a lot of work and capital layout to make a few sawhorses. I have a few commercially made ones that fold-up and serve me well. In my case, it's cheaper and less time involved to buy them. Mine also meet engineering standards for performance with things like grooves for pipe and non-slip material for boards.

@@JonnyDIY Mine are Stanley Fat Max saw horses. They're made of polypropylene and steel (rated at 2,500 lbs). I bought them a number of years ago. There are less expensive versions that are rated at 1,000 lbs. There are many different kinds out there, so you can find some that are right for you.
