I hate to be a downer but the two right tips don't look lined up properly, it is dipping down to the left. None the less thanks for putting up a video of the valvetronic universal muffler install, it will help a lot of people save time and money to have this reference to see how you made it work, seems pretty simple too.
11:00 The vent is there so that when you close the doors or hatch there isn't a buildup of pressure inside the vehicle which could cause glass to break.
Jake this is an outstanding video that you produced. And I must say that you provided the absolute BEST before and after, open and closed, interior, exterior, the different REV levels and the most perfect open to close transition that I have ever seen and heard on TH-cam. Hats off to you brother. And hats off to the superior welder that made this work and look so freaking awesome. I don’t even want to know how much that welding job cost. I do know that it’s costing me $350 just to get the bypass mod done to my Z06 titanium Exhaust. Oh and one more thing Nipple!!! lol. It took me some getting used to also when I was a young man just starting out in the oilfield.
Man I’m getting a c5 vette sometime this year I love watching your videos they are so informative and entertaining and I’m going to put some of the same stuff from your build to mine keep it up 👍 💯❤️
Excellent video 👏👏👏 You were born to own a C5 ... And born to be in front of a camera! Hi from (old) England (across the pond), where I own a "50th" C5. I've just had that confounded harmonic balancer done. Btw, I have friends there in NH (Manchester and Stratham). 😊 Keep up the good work. 👍🤠
Dude, this is awesome! I've been thinking about how to do this myself from time to time. I know I definitely want a valved exhaust eventually. I can't go any louder than I have without deafening myself or my neighbors, and I can't go any quieter without muzzling the car lol. Given that the main difference is volume rather than sound profile, it would be super helpful if you used a decibel meter to show the difference between the closed and open. There's apps you can pull up on your phone that do a pretty good job, and it would really help translate the difference between irl & video. Thanks for pioneering this! I look forward to your update video on it and eventually following in your footsteps.
Unbelievably cool. This looks amazing. I have one question though, why not use a Billy Boat fusion axel back system? Would that not have been easier, cheaper, and less work?
I’ve personally used the fusion system and was sorely disappointed with the difference(or lack thereof) in volume. It’s also extremely expensive and a very long waitlist to get. You also must connect the controller to engine vacuum, so I cannot speak to its performance on a boosted engine.
Hey, what’s up buddy how’s the Corvette running? Like I said, if you need a hand on anything, just let me know I’d give you a hand and help you out, but anyways keep on making the videos. I look like him bro.
Great video. Sorry to nit pick but... farthest right tip still looks crooked. 😢 not a diss. Just sucks. Been there where you pour your heart into something and due to circumstances you may have very little or no control over you get this. I also say if you can see it on mine you're too close. 😊
I'm not a big fan of having to use the cigarette lighter outlet to power something permanently.I would prefer tapping into a 12v source in the rear....but that's just me. Footnote: I had those valves on my C7. Ehhhhhh
TIG welding is the hardest welding to learn and very few can it do well. You found a rare welder, what ever you payed him it was worth it.

That vent is for pressure when you shut your doors, so you don't blow your windows out when they're up.
Also to not have exhaust smell in the cabin
Absolutely KILLED this video and install! Vette sounds amazing now! Great Work!

Whenever Rick welds its art! Sounds awesome too! 🙌

hi did you get it yet ?
What a difference! Exhaust looks and sounds incredible. Great improvement
Excellent video 👏👏👏

Hi from (old) England (across the pond), where I own a "50th" C5.
I've just had that confounded harmonic balancer done.
Btw, I have friends there in NH (Manchester and Stratham). 😊
Keep up the good work. 👍🤠
Right tip looks slightly higher than the rest😬. Very nice job though 👏🇬🇧
I did the exact same thing with my backup camera, didn't want to drill any holes so I was super happy to find out about the vent in the back.
Wow Jake! This was an awesome video! Good job
He did a very nice job! Well worth the wait.
That's a really nice upgrade, fills out the space quite well and sounds great!
Holy hell that looks and sounds great!
That came out really nice. He really knows how to lay it down. This Sounds kinda like my borla. The vacuum line could be run to the engine also?
Guess I really am an old man as I like the closed sound better than the open?
Superb! I am enjoying my Borla but these are SO SWEET! Happy for you, thanks for sharing :D

I like the quieter mode myself looks great good job looking forward to the follow up vlog
Hearing the straight pipe high pitch scream in real life is completely different then video and it is INSANE, it is like a true race car
What a different Jake sounds good another great video I enjoyed it very much 😊
This is awesome, I want this on my c5 like now!
Looks so sick and sounds awesome great video man
A C5 corvette in the White Mountains. Doesnt get much better than that.
It would drive me nuts that after all that work the two right side tips are crooked. 😐
That vent thing in the back is for when you close the back you don't get that sucksion .😊
The build sheet is in a cross frame in the front behind front bumper
Looks AMAZING Jake! For me, the CLOSED VALVE mode has the best sound. That's just my opinion Brother... The job turned out PERFECT! Stay safe... Rico
So much better! 😎
Great sound😊
Nice job! What is the Jegs PN for the quad tips?
Unbelievably cool. This looks amazing.
I have one question though, why not use a Billy Boat fusion axel back system? Would that not have been easier, cheaper, and less work?
This is exactly what I was wondering.

How much did you end up spending total? for the parts and the labor???
I’ve been trying to figure out how to implement a valve in my exhaust to bypass the mufflers
Hey, what’s up buddy how’s the Corvette running? Like I said, if you need a hand on anything, just let me know I’d give you a hand and help you out, but anyways keep on making the videos. I look like him bro.
whats the muffler style single inlet dual outlet ?
exhaust pipe size
and guess need 2 of them right
When closed, do these mufflers drone?
Does this car have headers or an X-pipe or is it all stock otherwise?
Oh my
Did you go to Worcester Polytech?
love this kid lmao too funny
Nice
It sounds like 5.3L vortex straight piped

I like the original deeper tones. Sounds like a rabid Honda.

Come on man you almost had it. You need the new balances lol
First
You added a bunch of weight and that’s about it if you’re worried about your hearing where is sound deadening ear phones
