Why? What would you have done to her? As we all know, you would have gotten away with it.

Same here, Jerry Lang. I saw her perform in a night club once and found her electrifying.

(FYI: I write this from the perspective of 31 year old 1st Generation; Nigerian-American Male.)
It's so sad that THIS generation overlooks and devalues people simply because they are older and they prefer to uplift something/someone that is "young, fresh, and/or hip". Take this 9 minute video clip for example; Eartha Kitt has truly LIVED. And it's remarkable that African-Americans don't see the success of other African-Americans in a time were *racism* wasn't about who's wearing a red MAGA hat and police shootings, but it was entrenched in EVERY fiber of the world's soceity. Don't get me wrong; IT STILL IS. But, it was FAR worse than ANYTHING that we see today. So...if you see African-American Males succeed "back then"; you should KNOW that it *IS A HUGE DEAL* . But, also KNOW that if you see African-American Women succeed that *IT IS A MOMENTOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT* . I seriously don't understand how people can overlook and deminish the names of African-American Women that ACTUALLY paved the way in favor of their "favs of todays". I've actually NEVER heard of Eartha Kitt before today. I started on this journey because of a video from TVOne titled "Eartha Kitt says Black Lives Matter in 1968" and NOW I'm here. And another thing... "Dragging" Dionne Warwick because she said Beyonce would NOT and does NOT have what it takes to be an *ICON* . You freaking simpletons; do you not realize that in the history of music; when you weigh out the scale of contributions to the African-American culture & the world (as a whole; as a "Diva"); *BEYONCE CAN'T EVEN HAVE A SEAT AT THE TABLE OF THE "ACTUAL" ICONS. SHE ACTUALLY MIGHT STILL BE WAITING IN THE LINE OUTSIDE. NAW...OK...SHE'S MOST LIKELY IN THE BUILDING. BUT SHE DAMN SURE HASN'T MADE IT PAST COAT CHECK. SIT DOWN AND BE HUMBLE.* I love you Eartha Kitt and I look forward to discovering more about your musical history & the life that you lived. Also...if anyone has ANY clue what the name of this full interview is under; please let me know. THANK YOU. AND GOD BLESS ALL THE GREATS/LEGENDS/PEOPLE THAT CAME BEFORE US THAT TOOK ALL THE BULLETS IN ORDER FOR US TO HAVE/LIVE THIS "COMFORTABLE LIFE" (IN AMERICA); GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES AND HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING WHEN HE MADE GENERATION AFTER GENERATION AFTER GENERATION OF STRONG PEOPLE TO BUILD OUR NATION/WORLD INTO WHAT IT IS TODAY. Don't be a dummy; respect your elders. Be inquisitive; ask them questions; they're is NO doubt that have some stories that will & could BLOW your mind. #MuchRespect 🙏
