Dude, I am from Cuttack. Nowhere in the past 10 centuries, the city has been called Padmavati as mentioned in the video. Atleast, there is no evidence for it. Sure, they might be some areas in and around city which might have been called by the name but never the city. There were different names initially like Varanasi Katak, Bidanasi Katak etc. But the name always has remained Cuttack or Katak for 1000 years or so because of the natural fort between the two rivers: Mahanadi and Kathajodi. Additionally, too many factual inaccuracies in the video to ignore: 1. 0:14 Its not at sangam (Milan) of two rivers as mentioned in the video. The city marks the start of the Mahanadi delta where Kathajodi separates from Mahanadi as a distributary (and not a tributary). 2. 0:55 [Might be a mispronunciation] City was established in 989 AD (and not 1941) by Somavanshi King Nrupa Keshari 3. 1:04 Barabati Fort (ruins) is at the banks of Mahanadi river and not at Kathajodi river bank 4. 5:07 Cuttack is at the intersection of two major corridors: A) NH55 - Branch of Mumbai-Kolkata Corridor connecting Western Odisha to Coastal Odisha and B) NH16 - Chennai-Kolkata Corridor connecting East India to South India Apart from this, great video. Thanks for making on Cuttack, the most underrated city in the eastern India.

The barriage as explained in the video (at 1.01 mins) as "Prachin Baandh" is actually over the River Mahanadi. The Barabati doorg is also near the river bank of Mahanadi, not Kathjodi. Baba Dhabaleswar temple is also situated at a distance of 10 Km, not 37 Km as explained. And lastly......you can reach at Cuttack by road through NH-16 & NH-55 both.

Secondly why should I think about Mumbai Chennai & Delhi when I pay taxes to Odisha Govt. The road from Badambadi to Link Road gets water logged and more frustrating are the riders driving in wrong side. Cuttack people don't follow traffic rules. Bdw I have been to Delhi & Chennai. They don't have waterlogged drains like Cuttack. The cities like Bangalore & Hyderabad get waterlogged only during cloud burst. But Cuttack gets waterlogged whole monsoon.
