Just got a ltr450 n checked valves and found intake are at 0 clearness as well you explain this way easier than others your method made it Easier even for a trx450
I don’t see part two bro bro Thanks for the vid tho, had to send it to somebody else to check their confidence in getting this far before coming thru for me to finish
@sleeperacing. I appreciate your video. Question for you. Did you say one of the valves clearance measured out at '0'? I am working on my valves for LTR450. Both measurements are '0'. What would cause the clearance to be zero? Thanks.
The valves will wear into the head over time perfectly normal if it does this often then I would look into getting a valve job and go with some over size valves especially if your racing if nothing you can replace valves just make sure you lap the seats and check several times for leakage before you complete the install To get the correct size shim buy the hot cams shim kit look at the original shims that came out give them a good measure and start .20mm smaller till you get a actual number to reference to then do you shim math.
I have a 07 LTR bog out when u give it gas with a all new fuel system I put in the shop the problem was the valves they did pressure test in found 85 precent leakage they a top end rebuild
I have a ltr 450 2006 that want start turns over then dies out I have gotten new batteries charged them up still nothing and a new starter and fuses and still nothing
