Their love story in the first three films resonates so powerfully because they don't end up together. I actually kind of love that it doesn't work out. It almost makes you feel like their love is stronger because they can't be together. It's tragic, but beautiful. I remember watching At World's End in the theater and feeling crushed by the ending, but then my heart got a little lighter during the post-credit scene with the green flash. I saw the film twice just so I could the end credit sequence again. So earnest and romantic.

They did end up together tho! It’s just that Will and Elizabeth can only meet for a day in every 10 years. We see it in the 3rd movie, after the end credit scene, Will and Elizabeth even have a boy together, Henry Turner 😊
What do you mean “don’t end up together” they’re literally married with a kid and endgame. Also I’m pretty sure Will’s kid got the sea curses uplifted including the one on Will being bind to the Dutchman. So they can finally be together at last.

I love chaotic proposals over the sweet ones. Will and Elizabeth also Yor and Loid. Those two couples served one of the best proposals that I have ever seen in my life

Damn right! However someone had to guard the chest. Then again they could’ve done something. To allow them to live on their ship and hopefully. Hopefully the crew won’t try too hard. To have the captain’s favorite ‘booty’.
You can’t be on the Dutchman too long or you’ll start to become “part of the crew part of the ship” if I remember right so she couldn’t have stayed on. It also frequently goes underwater, which would be bad for her. She could have sailed along side him in her own ship that she’s literal captain of (and literal King of the Pirates) but apparently not.
I don't know why they let Elizabeth stay on land, she could have sailed for how long she wanted and could be with Will, especially considering her king of pirates status. It would also make sense for her character growth since she would be leaving behind her nobility and land for piracy and the ocean. I don't know why they decided on this end for her

That’s why Davy Jones and his crew turned into monsters, it was the sea taking revenge on them. Because Will did his duty, he never turned monstrous. He could’ve made Elizabeth a part of the crew and sailed together

Don't forget the part where they're fighting in Singapore and he lunges to save her from being shot. Or when she's talking to her father (in the third movie) and he reaches for her worriedly but she walks away. These two make me so 😭 i love them sm and ily for making this

Will and Elizabeth are the best Disney and non-Disney couple I've ever watched. Even after all this time I can rewatch the films and feel everything as if it was the first time. I remember the first time I watched At World's End and how pissed I got by the ending. I cried and screamed. I couldn't belive they were not able to me together. But then I grew older and I realized it was the perfect ending for them. They loved each other since the moment they met and they'll love each other despite the long 10 years wait between their meetings.
I just rewatched the original trilogy after a long time and I'm realizing that they were one of, if not the most iconic couple for me growing up. The pure love between them was goals, and their chemistry was stunning.
These movies are *chef’s kiss*, absolutely amazing cinematography. An emotional roller coaster indeed, SLAY to whoever did the text commentary 😂🎉
