That's one of the reasons I'm annoyed that we can't redo Story battles, and that there's no Sound Test in the game >_> Thankfully, we have TH-cam. Thank you Aozaki!
An easy fix would be something like Memoria Recollectus in which you fight the Greatest Story Battles of the Game in a limited Time event with Higher Levels and maybe one after another for challenge's sake. Though that would be REALLY hard to do without it looking like you're running out of ideas and just being cheap for a non event. Or maybe you could Replay them for no reward just for the fun (that's probably how mobile games work) in like the scene archive or something to gouge how far you've come or test different strategies against different fights.
and a butt load of time to build a team up to even be strong enough to beat this fight as well. The unprepared or lacking in decent Servants will have to stick with spending their 3 command and a bunch of quartz for those require revives if their team can do decent damage before being killed.
This is the first battle I had to use command seals for in a very long time, but the sheer satisfaction of Merlin and Waver buffing Jealter to godhood then taking true /vengeance/ on that beast for taking away a critical member of my party was so worth it. At least it's your opinion, this game is a damn mess. It messed with canon and tried to handwave some of it. Main character seems to repeatedly perform Ars Nova to erase his/her personality from the whole game except Shimousa, soundtrack has super good tracks like this one and repetitive trash mixed together. One thing I would find cool is if before the final fight with Goetia starts the protag says something along the lines of “upon these three command seals, grant me the strength of those who fell and sacrificed themselves to allow me to reach this point...grant me the strength to CHANGE FATE!” But thats only my opinion, probably not that good

Well, considering that... (SPOILER ALERT) Dr. Roman, A.K.A. the "true" Grand Caster Solomon did an Ars Nova on himself to return his ten rings back to God's throne and weaken Goetia to the point of actually being beatable by human hands, it's kinda nuts to bring in a Grand Assassin for that job XD

For some reason this reminds me of the final boss music on "Sonic Colors". It has the same energy and all that. (Even though Goetia was a quite a lot harder to beat than Eggman)
This, this is why I've been rapidly clearing stories. At the beginning of summer I was still in Okeanos, and decided to do one story battle a day at least. Now I'm starting Babylonia, only halting to get skill levels up.
The moment just before you proceed to hand a demon god his ass, using maximum levels of rage, hate, and cheese that usually takes the form of a very angry Berserker and absolutely zero mercy

Goetia: your frontline servants are dead. What more could a mere backline do? Summer jalter, cu and a support merlin: *_Now this looks like a job for me_*
HaganeNoTema I don't play the game nearly as strategically as most people. My team is an all out offensive. I hit things until they die. Given the fact that the goal is to save humanity...putting all of your effort into fighting makes far more sense than stalling. I played normally. No insane buffs or anything. I simply used the strength my team had and I fought. Because I don't use any sort of pro strategies, the fight wasn't incredibly easy for me, but I came out on top. To me that more than suffices as an epic and realistic final boss fight.
HaganeNoTema Stalling for that many turns means bringing the right servants and knowing how to properly utilize their skills. So yes, it's strategical. Especially in comparison to someone who plays about as casually as possible. My team couldn't stall for 67 turns. Artoria, Gilgamesh, and Scathach aren't going to stall for nearly that long.
During this fight I didn't know that Goetia will do his np literally at the start of the battle. So I'm left with Hans, support Merlin and Cu Alter. Both Hans and Merlin stall the battle while Cu Alter just keep dealing damage. Hans was first to go. Then Merlin. I buffed Cu Alter with Merlin's buff before Merlin died. From then on I keep attacking Goetia with my Cu Alter. Spamming buster cards and nps. Using his skills the wisest way. I didn't knew if I can defeat Goetia first try, but I did. I've never love Cu Alter more than before. He's the best and one of the most oldest servants I have. I have him since Orleans and he's usually the one to give the final blow to bosses and Lostbelts kings. With my favorite servant, Cu Alter we will face any adversary that Fgo is going to give in the future.
I am a very stubborn man. I always want to fight with my own team and never NEVER use command seals on story bosses. So I just took any servant from my friends and put it in front just to die. It took a couple of tries but now I have a sign to my name ^_^ PS. If I have the option I will always ALWAYS avoid Merlin.
Such an amazing OST in this game. I'm glad I picked it up recently and even after getting dumpstered on by the Gacha and can't pull shit to save my life. But no matter, my Ushi fucking owned Goetia with her near maxed bond because she was the servant that was one of my first and the first I grailed to 90. When she brought it home I literally shouted "THIS IS WHY YOU'RE MY FAVORITE USHIII" as she took TWO massive chunks away from Goetia with like 1.3mil health, and killed him...Now if only she can get an animation update...
I'll never forget how St. George, Mephistopheles, and Blackbeard sacrificed themselves so my back line (Jack, Jeanne Lily, and Nursery Rhyme) could whale on Goetia with impunity. Thanks, guys.

I simply cannot get over how gallant Mash looks in this picture and the combination with the music is just epic!
When this first played it truly felt like everything was coming to an end. It made the fight with Solomon feel immensely epic.

This, this is why I've been rapidly clearing stories. At the beginning of summer I was still in Okeanos, and decided to do one story battle a day at least. Now I'm starting Babylonia, only halting to get skill levels up.

HaganeNoTema I don't play the game nearly as strategically as most people. My team is an all out offensive. I hit things until they die. Given the fact that the goal is to save humanity...putting all of your effort into fighting makes far more sense than stalling.
I played normally. No insane buffs or anything. I simply used the strength my team had and I fought. Because I don't use any sort of pro strategies, the fight wasn't incredibly easy for me, but I came out on top. To me that more than suffices as an epic and realistic final boss fight.

HaganeNoTema Stalling for that many turns means bringing the right servants and knowing how to properly utilize their skills. So yes, it's strategical. Especially in comparison to someone who plays about as casually as possible. My team couldn't stall for 67 turns. Artoria, Gilgamesh, and Scathach aren't going to stall for nearly that long.

During this fight I didn't know that Goetia will do his np literally at the start of the battle. So I'm left with Hans, support Merlin and Cu Alter. Both Hans and Merlin stall the battle while Cu Alter just keep dealing damage. Hans was first to go. Then Merlin. I buffed Cu Alter with Merlin's buff before Merlin died. From then on I keep attacking Goetia with my Cu Alter. Spamming buster cards and nps. Using his skills the wisest way.
I didn't knew if I can defeat Goetia first try, but I did. I've never love Cu Alter more than before. He's the best and one of the most oldest servants I have. I have him since Orleans and he's usually the one to give the final blow to bosses and Lostbelts kings.
With my favorite servant, Cu Alter we will face any adversary that Fgo is going to give in the future.
I am a very stubborn man. I always want to fight with my own team and never NEVER use command seals on story bosses. So I just took any servant from my friends and put it in front just to die. It took a couple of tries but now I have a sign to my name ^_^
PS. If I have the option I will always ALWAYS avoid Merlin.
PassingDem0n why not use Command Seals? They are a canon part of the story and your character, so you should use them if you have to
All you need for Goetia is Max level Jalter and three Command Seals...

Such an amazing OST in this game. I'm glad I picked it up recently and even after getting dumpstered on by the Gacha and can't pull shit to save my life. But no matter, my Ushi fucking owned Goetia with her near maxed bond because she was the servant that was one of my first and the first I grailed to 90. When she brought it home I literally shouted "THIS IS WHY YOU'RE MY FAVORITE USHIII" as she took TWO massive chunks away from Goetia with like 1.3mil health, and killed him...Now if only she can get an animation update...
I'll never forget how St. George, Mephistopheles, and Blackbeard sacrificed themselves so my back line (Jack, Jeanne Lily, and Nursery Rhyme) could whale on Goetia with impunity. Thanks, guys.
