7:43 Personally, instead of Cave Dweller, I like the Cave Endermen added by the Enderman Overhaul mod. They're naturally aggro rather than only becoming hostile when you look at them, giving them a similar vibe to Cave Dwellers while also not looking out of place from the base game since their model just feels more vanilla-like.
You should make a seried called "Minecraft mods that work awfully together" Which is just mods that bug out in funny ways when combined Or make the game REALLY HARD
Wither storm + enhanced ai and zombie awareness makes the tentacles in the final fight have absurd range and it’s literally impossible to hit the command block
On 1.12, if you use Tinkers Construct Slime Sling + Slime Boots while having the Squake mod active, you will accelerate extremely fast when you bhop. And if you trimp (shift jump) when you speed gets fast enough, you'll go really high, and as you slowly turn to build speed again you'll start to fly so fast that chunks stop rendering.
Here’s a fun one: create, clockwork, valkyrien skies, eurika, better end, create big cannons, and create new age. I use that combo to make “spaceships” like no man’s sky or astroneer in the end
Yoooo!, that's an awesome mod you've made my friend, it's the most perfect combination in the vid and it wasn't mentioned, I was looking through the comment section to find the mod, and I found the creator!
I like the original cave dweller but it wasn't scary once you killed it. I hate the new dwellers cause they don't look Minecrafty enough. But even for them, once you manage to kill them you don't fear them anymore
Nah you can say that about anything. If you watch a scary movie once it may be less scary second time around but that doesn't mean it isn't scary at all. Yeah the mobs could be more in line with the style but their usual appearance and sounds make them unique. I mean you can only pack in so many pixels on the standard minecraft model. Some of them are definitely not fun to fight if they have HP bloat or are just tanks that one kill the player in one hit. But some can be downright creepy.
I wonder if it would be much scarier if it was unkillable, and could "track" you if you got too close. Like say, if you are in a certain vicinity, it would smell you, slowly navigate the caves to get you, or maybe even dig it's way to you, and if you escape somehow, it once again starts "tracking" you until you get too far away from it. I think this could probably be either too complex or too un-fleshed out, but the cave dweller as a whole is a great concept
The fear factor was immediately removed for me because there wasn't even any build-up. Booted up a new game with the mod installed, made a house, started making a mineshaft, strip-mining to find a proper cave. Skinny lad just comes in through 1-block wide hole I *just* broke. No prior sounds. Just *BOOP* here I am! (screaming intensifies). I didn't even get the chance to be spooked, I was just going "wait, huh?" and then I died LOL
@@ImmortalNaitsirhc Yeah... the cave dweller spawns whenever a cave noise plays (from what I remember), which is RNG, and unfortunately, RNG isn't always the best when it comes to creating atmosphere. 0:40 There is a mod from the same creator as Nvidium called voxy that does the same thing as distant horizon but with a much more stable framerate (it's still buggy but the feature works fine)
It's a bit sad that one person (Cortex 👑) can do all this -> Nvidium (Ultra High Renderdistance with almost no performance loss), Voxy (Better performing Distance Horizons alternative with little shader support right from the start) Vulkanite (Hardware RT or as uninformed ppl call it "RTX" in Java)... but the multibillion company Microsoft does not
@@Satwrkey word: hardware. They want the game to be as accessible as possible, and not everyone has a high end cpu/gpu, or currently for nvidium, a nvidia 16xx+ specifically

You should really make a video or at-least try a modpack called The Everlasting Fog on Curseforge, it has really good thriller synergy and I think it's a perfect example of a modpack that combines things that work perfectly together, way better than Fear Nightfall or any other horror/thrilling modpack of the same sort. I honestly think it's one of the better modpacks on Curseforge entirely.
I think it's hilarious how you say "The step up mod is pretty jarring though" and then show it with the new third person mod, which makes it look WAY MORE jarring 😂
Another great bunch of mods, Alex's Caves being my favorite. Not only do we share names, but I genuinely love how good it is. If you could kindly do the "I wanna skate" and "Parcool" combo next for a possible modern city environment in your next video about mod combos, that would be great. Keep doing your awesome work

Love these combos. I found another mod from modrinth where instead of using a resource pack for player animations there is a seperate mod for it and best part is that it works along with better combat. So it does make for a really good rpg sort of feel to the player
2:45 There is actually a mod called “sleeptight” which still speeds up time when you sleep, and increases tick rate, etc. theres a few other added features aswell which are quite cool, and it adds sleeping bags and hammocks which are fully compatible (you can skip day) It doesnt do the animation when you sleep but everything else works.

Idea for a video, get as many mods to work perfectly together as possible, can be any topic, just as long as they all add something to all the other mods.
A great addition to the render distance mods is the "Hold that chunk" mod as it prevents the game from randomly unloading chunks. I also find it's best to leave the render distance at 32 anything more than that causes frame time spikes when the ram gets cleared and that's with an RTX 4090, 32GB's of DDR5 RAM and i9 12900kF. More than 32 render distance isn't really needed as the "Bobby" mod keeps the chunks loaded from the current session past the 32 chunks without any stuttering issues.
Cave Dweller is only scary the first one or two times you find it. After that, it's just another monster -- a monster with specific behaviors you learn and figure out how to exploit.
for the Primal Snow a mod you could have added was Snow Real Magic, which makes it so snow infinitely stacks (change it in config) and overall makes snow, snow
Do a video about TerraFirmaCraft!!!!! It's a shame it's not popular, the mod has been around for more than 10 years and it's still being updated.
