Xeno3 quick fix - Limited soundfont list and app disconnecting

- Hello there 👋
This is a super quick fix if you’re having issues with Xeno3 app connection and your soundfont list limited to just a few instead of the full 34 fonts . The app is an open beta as of April 2023, so still buggy, but for now there are ways to go around some bugs.
May the Force be with you.

Thank you so much for that Bluetooth tip I spent all day trying to fix it.
when I click confirm to connect to my saber. It shows connected and instantly disconnected . also my saber has voice “app connected” and instant “app disconnected” 😢
Hello there 😅 This is an old video but here are a few tips : check that this is the latest firmware 1.2.5 (if the saber is very recent, no problems then). The app only works with the saber close by (saber at hand and phone in the other). Some sabers (mostly characters sabers and custom designs) have low bluetooth connectivity due to the thickness of the hilt (screen accuracy is not compromised for bluetooth), so to customize the saber settings it is recommended to open the pommel or slide the core out for stable bluetooth.
If the disconnection keeps happening please go to the BT settings of your phone and remove/forget the saber. Next time you pair the saber it will reset BT connection.
Other than than if you have issues and bought from us go to the support chat on the website.
The catalog will be updated regarding those bluetooth low connectivity sabers and a detailed tutorial video will be made for troubleshooting the remaining bluetooth issues.

@@thesaberfactory forget the BT setting actually works! thanks👏
I have an xrgb core, most of the time the app refuses to connect. But when it does, it disconnects after 10 to 20 seconds. I tried this fix but it did not work. Any other suggestions?
This fix is old and was only valid with the 1.0 of the beta. Now we are at 1.2.5 and it is a much more stable version in regards to connectivity issues.
If the saber's hard to connect, remove the core out of the hilt for better bluetooth access. And if it gives you enough stability go to the saber settings in the app and click on the firmware version to upgrade. Repeat the process until the latest version.
If you can't do it via the app (some versions are very buggy) then do it manually by uploading the update file on your sabers SD card. See our resources here : www.thesaberfactory.com/pages/saber-resources
Hi, I have a Graflex with xeno3.0 installed and the connectivity seems to drop as soon as the bottom of the hilt is reinstalled (screwed back on). This is odd, as this issue did not happen yesterday or this morning, and I haven't changed the firmware I am using. Any tips or ideas?
Just to add, I am able to connect to the app via BT when the xeno chassis is completely exposed and when the chassis pommel is installed - i.e. only when the grip goes back on does the connection drop...
Hey. It shouldn’t have problems going through the metal, bluetooth can handle this easy but I’ll send your feedback in case this is a repeating scenario. I’ll try to get updates on this
Same thing happens to me on the Sabine wren light saber I just got any update for a fix for this? The Ashoka ones I have work fine with no connection issues
Mine too on my chrome LGT graflex. Will only connect if I unscrew the bottom to expose the core.
I have tried multiple times to connect the Xeno App to my Xeno 3 saber core. However, the app is not able to 'find' my saber although when I first turn on my cellphone's bluetooth, the saber will say 'saber app connected' but still will not work.
Please help. Thank you.
What happens when the saber is plugged ? It really seems to solve any instability. Also latest app update has made it more stable on the ones I had issues with. They still disconnect after some time but already an improvement.
I have Anakin's Ep. 3 lightsaber and out of 34 fonts, I can use only 10. No matter how I switch them either via the button or Xeno configurator, the saber just crashes
Did the trick of plugging it to the charger worked ?
You can also do a factory reset and/or firmware upgrade through the app. If you check your SD card you should see the 34 folders, as well as in the config file, they should all be listed. If not then a clean re-install may be needed.
@@thesaberfactory I think it worked, but not from the first try. I can now use around 15 fonts. How should I do a clean re-install? where can I download the needed stuff
@@Rayan567. Strange. Try firmware upgrade (on the sabers name, click the wheel) first. Then if no better, reset factory settings in the same menu. And if still no good, backup your entire SD card then reinstall Xeno3. You can download v1 here : www.thesaberfactory.com/pages/saber-resources
Reuse your backed up fonts folders once it's installed.
how do i copy the stock 16 fonts to my sd card
if you have a Xeno3 board, the base 16 fonts loaded on the board can't be copied. If you add an sd card then any font on there will be loaded by default. If you bought it with us, we can provide the fonts if you go on the support chat and identify your order number.
I'm having a problem where the Xeno app won't save. Any time I try I just get an eternal spinning "saving" screen and I have to force close the app (gave it like 30 min once).
I really want to save as the saber always boots at 100% volume, even though I keep setting to to 20% in the app, or even low on the saber manually.
Have you updated the saber firmware to latest version ? 1.2.5 solved connectivity issues, previous version solved sound issues, so this should do it for you :)
@@thesaberfactory It's a new saber, haven't checked the firmware yet, but I can look at that. Thanks!
@@thesaberfactory So for the XenoPixel3 board the update file I want is "update v.1.2.5 pixel" ? All the different use of names makes this a bit confusing.
@@Dolby109 Yes. If it is a neopixel. If it's baselit then look for RGB update. But in your app it's automatic you just click on the version name and it updates.
If you need to manually update via the SD card we have the files available on our website www.thesaberfactory.com/pages/saber-resources
whenever i turn off my saber on the cyber terror soundfont, the deactivation sound repeats once. how do i fix this?
It’s on purpose, this font has a « postoff » file, a sound that follows the « in » file. It’s actually a repetition of the deactivation sound. You can modify this sound to be something else or delete it if you wish.
How do I switch my saber from rgbx to xeno
You'd have to buy a new Xeno3 core, ask out in the website's chat and I can give you a custom quote. I'd need to know your saber model exactly to make sure it's the right core for you.
Is there a shipping to Saudi Arabia?
Not yet but plan to add it as part of a dozen more destinations later this month.
