My Christmas tradition, since grad school, is to decorate for Christmas at the first snowfall that sticks, or Thanksgiving whichever is first. Some years (Wisconsin and Minnesota) its been early October, other years (California) it's been Thanksgiving. The first year of Covid, pre-lit tree went up in early October and stayed up through the following Christmas, decorations only around Christmas time, but the clear lights of the pre-lit tree was a joy for my morning knitting and reading and it saved me....

Before I retired all of my clothing came from thrift stores and it got so that I could go a whole season and not repeat outfits, having probably less for my whole wardrobe than for just a few designer pieces. I also love vintage decor, especially frames! The one you got is gorgeous and I love the houses. Btw, I am a new subscriber.

SO MANY great holiday finds! 🤩 (also lowkey loved the green skirt more than the red and squealed when you lifted it up!) I put my tree up with lights on Nov 1 but I’m working on DIYs now and am trying to resist fully decorating for at least another week. Loved this video!
We always wait until mid-November to decorate for Christmas - although I'm so ready on November first.😂 But it's nice to enjoy the excitement for decorating before actually doing it😁
This was such a wholesome vlog Erica ☺️ so sweet that you knit things for your wife. I’ve recently got into crochet and I’m in the middle of making a cardigan. And I got out my knitting needles for the first time in years. I’ve only ever knitted scarves before, maybe in the future I’ll be able to knit myself a jumper, and one for my hubby Tom. I’m still in the Halloween mood 🎃🍁 I want to put our Christmas decorations up on the 1st of December.

Great vlog 😊 I love thrifting (in Australia we call it op shopping) I mostly shop for home decore and books and sometimes clothing if I am looking for particular items. I normally start decorating mid November for Xmas 😅 😊 ❤
this makes me want to go thrifting so badly T_T for some reason i didn't realize goodwill moves things in and out seasonally the spooky season socks turned out so great! i'm way too lazy to do colorwork on a small scale like that although i have had some strawberry socks in my to-do queue for ages on ravelry and i even bought the yarn for them ^^;

Also my husband and I always decorate the Saturday after Black Friday, and leave our decor up for the official 12 days of Christmas, so until Jan 6! However I’m defs feeling the Christmas vibes early this year, I’m already thinking of decorating haha
