Deep River Farm has a video out today regarding mobile home parks in Canton that are only accessible by atv and won't be getting power till June 2025. This gentleman and the churches he's working with I know have been vetted (per several sources), and the families are being vetted that they are helping. Donations are coming in, but a logistical nightmare to get supplies and fuel for generators in. Beautiful story of a long-time Santa in that community raising money for Christmas. No idea what the future holds for these families, but surely praying for their immediate needs to be met.
Tipper and Matt, thank you so much for taking us along on your book signing trip. It was so interesting hearing you talk about everything that you're so passionate about that includes Appalachian culture and your and Jim's cookbook. The tour of the Ramsey house was really interesting and I enjoyed hearing all about it. It's such a beautiful place with a lot of history. I'm happy that you and Matt got to go and had a nice day. 😊 Sending blessings to you and all your family. 💗🙏
Loved the ride and seeing the Ramsey House. Thank you Tipper and Matt for taking us along. Hope you sold a bunch a cook books I’m sure enjoying mine. Live y’all ❤
Tipper, thank you so much for taking us along to your meeting at the Ramsey House. I felt like I was right there with you all. And so very very kind of them to allow you to film your tour of the house. My brother and SIL bought a big OLD house with three stories. In the back was a very steep narrow stairway and it lead up to the servant’s quarters! We said they had to be small people with tiny feet! Blessings to all. ❤️🙏
My wife and I enjoyed meeting you and Matt at this event. Like I told yall last Saturday, your channel sparked us to start our own garden with our three boys and it’s created some quality family time. They are learning a lot of life lessons they can carry with them as they grow older and have their own families. Thanks for what yall do. Please come back this way soon.
Y’all are so blessed to get to take trips like this together! Enjoy your day. I love country slang. It’s so amusing and interesting how it is also not just southern, but regional too. ❤🙏
I really enjoyed the drive. Taking in all the beautiful fall colors and the fog was soothing to the soul and gave off sleepy hollow Halloween vibes. Was so relaxing thank you Tipper and Matt 😊❤
I loved seeing Ramsey House again. My mamaw was part of a women's group in the 80s and early 90s that met there and coordinated a Christmas shop with local crafts there every December. My dad still lives very close, but I haven't lived in that area in over 20 years and haven't visited Ramsey House in that time. Watching this makes me want to change that soon.
This is a wonderful video! Thank you so much. I enjoyed listening to the talk and then seeing the house. So much history (and beautiful colonial furniture!)
Tipper, what a fascinating place to have a cookbook signing. You did a wonderful job with your presentation, and I enjoyed the tour of the house afterward. Don't you love old houses!
I LOVE old dwellings, historical or not & this one was gorgeous! It amazed me, how long it took for the house to be built. I wish the pink marble & blue limestone had been pointed out. I mean, I could see some of the pinkness on the outside but not any blue anywhere. The first thing I thought of when I saw the wall's thickness, was for insulation. And the thickness AND the length of the kitchen mantle...WOW! And I would think, the slaves's quarters above the kitchen, would've been warm, right? With Col Ramsey's prominence in the community, I thought we would've seen a portrait or sketch of him & the house back in the day. But maybe those items had been lost or destroyed over the years. Another great video, thanks!
What a wonderful trip, talk, and book signing. I enjoyed the Ramsey house tour and history. My family in SC has a home as the Ramsey home around the same time. The history I just cannot get enough of the lives of the families. You shared a wonderful talk and I was hanging on every word Tipper as always. I am so happy for you and Matt. May God continue to bless your lives with good health, faith, hope, love, and an understanding of our precious Lord Jesus Christ throughout you life. Always.
The mountains just take my breath away , you all are so blessed to live there,Matt is a wonderful driver ,thank you so much for taking us with you. God is so good. Tipper the Lord blessed you very much in all that you do. God bless.
Tipper, I wanted to come and meet you but my uncle was put in the hospital from a fall. He had brain cancer and dementia. He passed away yesterday morning. I was able to spend time with him and my aunt. The really hard part was my beautiful Dad passed away from cancer April 6th this year. God has been with us all. I made some of the recipes in your cookbook for him, and he loved them all.
I know you enjoyed meeting the folks who came to see you and Matt. I am going to make the Ramsey House a destination! Beautiful grounds and the house is amazing. Thank you for taking us along!
Glad you all made it there safely. What a beautiful house. Love the way the fireplaces are made. Thank you for taking us with you all. Yall have a blessed night.
Thank you so much Tipper!! That home is FASCINATING! ❤️ Wonderful to be able to see a home like that , without your video, I may not ever have been able to see. MUCH APPRECIATED! ❤️🙏👍🤗
What a beautiful rich history tucked away in the Tennessee mountains. This home reminded me of the Early American you tubers Justine & her hubby. Thank you for taking us along . Love seeing our country thru your eyes❤
What a special place to be able to have a book signing in. I love old buildings and the craftsmanship that went into creating that home is amazing. Thank you for sharing your book signing talk and the tour.
That was so interesting. I love history. It's fun to see how people lived back then, and to see how we are not so different from them. We still want the same things. Thanks again. 😊
Hi Tipper and Matt, I want to Thank you so much for bringing us along with you to the Historic Ramsey House. Tipper you did an excellent job with your speech and going on the tour of the house. Hello Tipper . Thank you for taking us along with you to Knoxville and the Ramsey House. It was wonderful. I thought the story Misty told about the Colonel requesting the two eagles holding the British items in their claws, was really neat! It made me giggle, he was indeed patriotic! Thank you for sharing your trip! God Bless y'all!☕🙏☕
Thank you for taking us along on your book signing. The tour of the beautiful Ramsey House and its grounds was wonderful. I also enjoyed seeing the drive there. I've always wanted to drive south, but have never had the opportunity, only have flown to Florida twice in my life and I'm 64. Hopefully I'll get the chance someday. Love all you do, again thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed this so much. In that open-hearth kitchen, I could not help but feel respect for the people who lived in such a time and had to work so very hard just ...to put a meal on the table. Goodness just imagine having to get a fire just so, maintain it just so... Makes me grateful to have a cooktop and an oven, while appreciating the art of such old-time cooking/skills/ways. THANK YOU as always, it was fun to go along! 💞 🙌🏼
Great video Tipper & Matt. I loved seeing and learning about the Ramsey house and the Ramseys. I wonder if there are still Ramsey relatives in the area. It’s so interesting when we can learn about our history in the actual places, like the homes where people lived their lives. Thanks for taking us along. Be well & take care.
What a beautiful trip! Such an amazing tour of the Ramsey house. Hope you had a good turnout for your cookbook signing! Thank you for taking us along ❤
If you get car sick, they make these wristbands that you can put on that may help. I have used them when we are out on the lake and also on trips going through windy and curvy roads.
Tipper, I would love to be southern. Everything and everyone is so much slower and calmer than the stressed out north. I live in PA, and everyone is in a crazy hurry, and my life is like that.
