My God, I was still relatively new to the channel when this happened. The ensuing Jinny G content was incredible, and so much fun. I really miss the Jinions.
i think this could be like a cool series like " Covert Go Arquive" or "CGB Arquives" and this style of editing, being funny and all its really cool! could lean even more into it!
Another moment I'd love to be archived / remastered does happen on another channel but the moment from Merchant's Brawl Hall where CGB went "Full Villian Mode".
I loved the editing in this video!! Would really enjoy more games (from the archives or not) in that kind of style. The close ups and text really added to the humorousness of that silly little 5 mana enchantment
Wow… it’s been so long (but also relatively short) that I had even forgotten some passages of this match. Wow. So cool of you to post this remastered version. And btw, what an editing (it’s been said by everyone already, but hey… it is what it is).
I think we're underestimating the choice CGB made not to kill Jinny G at 10:40 - I reckon he could've won without Jinny there. Choosing Opus over House burning was definitely the only position I can see where CGB could've actually won.
He threw the game at 5:35 when he didn't realize he could cast both Hinata and Invoke thanks to the discount. But we wouldn't have this treasure if he did :)
This is a great idea. I'm new to the channel and had to do a lot of digging to find this game, I couldn't believe there wasn't any highlights separately, etc.
Honestly, why is anyone still surprised? Every time I see someone play 200 card deck. They draw perfect answers to everything. Every time the top decks are godly, they never brick on land it's amazing. It's statistically impossible but wizard says "nah it'll be fine, don't forget to cup the balls"
Long time watcher. Happy to support you with anything you do. The edits/memes/audio were great, but some of the cuts were so quick i couldn't tell what was happening.
thank you so much for making this!! i know so many of us have been watching the ginny G origin story, but we've had to scroll through the original video so many times. Honestly, one of the funniest things on youtube for me
His facial expression, and his other reactions were to die for lol. I remember watching this when the original video was posted and eve I had the surprised Pikachu face.
Could you link to the original video that this match is in? Maybe in the video description? Would be cool to revisit it. I like the idea of highlighting some of your more famous (or infamous) games. You should take a look at your game 2 of your 12 Teferis video where you accidentally lose because of a Celestus trigger lol.
I remember that Pile, oh I’m so glad I didn’t pilot into that! Again, I’m hoping against hope that you would find the line at pull it off and thinking if anyone could, you could.
This is how I felt this weekend playing commander when some kid brought out his Korvold deck and I only found out it was mostly proxies of the most busted cards when he proxy demonic tutored for a proxy dockside extortionist.
Love playing with proxy's but it should be disclosed beforehand for sure... When you are free to use any card but your opponent isn't it can get crazy busted
*in the arms of an angel plays in the background.* For just all of your money a year, you can save standard, keep rotation, and prevent CGBs all over from suffering a Jin Gitaxis Bridge.
Pretty new to your channel and pretty new to magic, but over the past few months I've enjoyed watching your deck making skills, your ability to explain old and new cards that I might have a physical of/ cards that I might want, and your energy when it comes to the game is making me enjoy magic more and more, especially when I can learn that much fast and help me build a deck to play commander against friends. Been working in Casinos for almost 15 years as a table games dealer and slot supervisor and I too understand being burnt out and the emotional Rollercoaster, and I respect and agree with some of the ideas you are leaning towards doing with your channel. But if you really are going covert go travel, take the break! A month away from us would have been a good break for your to find yourself some answers that you are missing. Anyway, I hope you find what you are looking for CBG.
It took me a moment to realize what I was watching but I love this. If you posted more stuff like this and Historic brawl. Then I am just happy. I also watch your standard stuff. So anything you put out I'll watch
oh yeah, the beggining of the jinny g bridge feud! i remember watching this game i think when it came out? if not when i first discovered your channel around neon dynasty standard. stay true, stay blue
This is how I felt when I tried to prove a focused 40 card deck was better than an 80-card pile. I played Plague Rats, my opponent drew his single Millstone and proceeded to mill every nonland card in my deck. I literally drew only land for ten turns.
never saw this game until today. i mean i got all the stuff reffering to it and allways wanted to watch it, but i never did. so thanks for showcasing it that way!
Great stuff, reliving the best moments! Like the new direction, please make the edition less ADHD, I was about to get a seizure, like when I look at my 13 year old's TikTok videos. Applaud the strategy, and keep doing what you enjoy, that is what draws many of us. The passion and perseverance you have, even in this trainwreck of a game!
Man that was even better than I remember. Though surely it was only a couple of months ago, right? Did Cgb ever play the 130 card pile, and did anyone ever get the full decklist off MTGA's final boss?
Remember watching this on the original video. Thought it was slightly funny. Cgb turned it into a meme. Sure, I'm sure the fans were all over the next few videos about it but cgb brought the meme to life.
"You're wrong CovertGoBlue, my grandfather's deck has no pathetic cards!" - YuGiOh
Pretty much, every draw was "heart of the cards" best hits
My God, I was still relatively new to the channel when this happened. The ensuing Jinny G content was incredible, and so much fun. I really miss the Jinions.
Jinny G and the pragmatic bridge!
I’m gonna start calling it the Problematic Bridge
@@Ev1lHaX0rit seems every bridge seems to be problematic for TH-camrs..😂😂
i think this could be like a cool series like " Covert Go Arquive" or "CGB Arquives" and this style of editing, being funny and all its really cool! could lean even more into it!
Another moment I'd love to be archived / remastered does happen on another channel but the moment from Merchant's Brawl Hall where CGB went "Full Villian Mode".
I agree it would be nice to have a small series like this, although I have to say I'm really not a fan of the editing
The idea is cool, this editing is a bit too twitchy with all the zooming in & out.
missed alot, can someone explain why there is no standard rotation or when it will be ? got confused in search.
when cgb explained why is cgb the id of his account i remember that one too
If a Renaissance painting was a magic game...
i remember this game like it was yesterday , so freaking entertaining
Smiling the whole time knowing what was coming...
Disappointed we never got to see CGB have to play this deck.
maybe what we need in this stale standard meta is CGB playing a 100+ card meme pile on ladder
He did. He had this whole thing where he versed Jin Gitaxis.
You’re the hero we need and we absolutely don’t deserve you.
Jinion's Minions Begin
It's so wild that this game was so long ago, and there are so many cards there that are still in standard
Excellent editing!
That opponent really could not have stacked his deck any more perfectly. Pretty amazing.
I know, right?
The editing was so on point with this
No easy way to say this: some days it sucks to be you!
I forgot just how enjoyable that video was. Thanks for bringing it back.
Vis a vis your video yesterday: if this shit makes you happy, I hope you know it makes us ECSTATIC
On that fated day, a meme was born.
Wizards needs to make a Jin Gitaxias card with a blonde human in his clutches. We all would know it's CGB.
CGB’s “the intro explained” series: begin! I’m all here for it
The edits really add a lot, digging the new style so far, CGB.
Like the editing on this video.
Thanks!
I did not live this moment and I'm glad now I can do it. Amazing editing, too. Thanks a lot!
This is a great idea. I'm new to the channel and had to do a lot of digging to find this game, I couldn't believe there wasn't any highlights separately, etc.
We need the rematch against DiDZTM, pure content right there
The original video is the one that got me watching your content. Hilarious. Been watching almost every day since. Can’t believe it’s been two years.
Really enjoyed seeing this again. It was fantastic when it happened and fantastic in this edited form.
Honestly, why is anyone still surprised? Every time I see someone play 200 card deck. They draw perfect answers to everything. Every time the top decks are godly, they never brick on land it's amazing. It's statistically impossible but wizard says "nah it'll be fine, don't forget to cup the balls"
I love this new style of video! It’s cut together in a more “montage” style and I love it!!! Still very much love the long-form stuff too.
I know this style of editing probably isn’t feasible for daily content, but I really enjoyed the extra stuff added props to the editors.
Truly one of the games of all time. What a great time to be on the channel
Dude, I love all your content. It's going to be awesome to observe till you retire and then see where you go from there.
I love the new video styles. Keep having fun
A lesson we all learn sooner or later - some days you are the pigeon; other days you are the statue.
I'm glad i could see a piece of history like this one. now the intros make more sense
I have always wanted to see this game but never had the chance. Love it. Thanks for doing this. Looking forward to more content like this.
Long time watcher. Happy to support you with anything you do. The edits/memes/audio were great, but some of the cuts were so quick i couldn't tell what was happening.
The single greatest moment in the history of the channel. I'm not sure it's even debatable.
„Professor Onyx?!?“ always makes me laugh the most. The pure disbelief and laughing in despair is so great comedy at this point ❤️
Been watching your vids for 5+ years so definitely in the OS group. But I am absolutely loving this new content. Amazing editor ❤️❤️
Give us more certified CGB moments, please! It is long overdue for some Memes on the channel!
I didnt remember this game until you blurted 'Jin Gitaxis!?', then i remembered everything. what a moment
This is awesome! I started watching your channel last year so i'm really happy to see the greatest hits from your backlog :)
Never got to see this game as it unfolded! Epic memory to revisit!
thank you so much for making this!! i know so many of us have been watching the ginny G origin story, but we've had to scroll through the original video so many times. Honestly, one of the funniest things on youtube for me
Witnesses the face of a man that does not realise he is in danger. I always expect jin, that way i can be pleasantly surprised when he doesn't show up
Yeah I always wanted to see this game. Thanks for sharing!
So begins the saga of Jingle Taxes, lyricist extraordinaire.
6:08 THE moment... Jinny G, the Jinnions, the Pragmatic Scaffolding. Everything started with that! :')
I just remembered this game a few days ago! Awesome to have a link to point out to when I retell the story.
I miss that old set - what happened to it
This video is a good time. Very engaging formatting.
His facial expression, and his other reactions were to die for lol. I remember watching this when the original video was posted and eve I had the surprised Pikachu face.
This editing had me in tears lmao I love it
The original was a treasure. The edited version was priceless. Shout out to the editor.
Oh sweet lord I miss when Standard was this fun. Thanks for the upload CGB! First video I watched in full in a while to be honest
This game was hilarious, the absurdity of the jinny deck, CGBs reaction.
I remember that Pile, oh I’m so glad I didn’t pilot into that! Again, I’m hoping against hope that you would find the line at pull it off and thinking if anyone could, you could.
I will gladly watch episodes of epic CGB matches!
I also love this video for the look back into old standard.
I never watched the original (haven't been watching the channel for long enough), so seeing this gem of a game remastered was just hilarious!
I would love to see some of your most entertaining games compiled into one. Would be super fun 🤩
Proxies are fine; bringing a CEDH deck to a casual table is not!
*in the arms of an angel plays in the background.*

How appropriate that what is now a Lore video features Lorehold.
It took me a moment to realize what I was watching but I love this. If you posted more stuff like this and Historic brawl. Then I am just happy. I also watch your standard stuff. So anything you put out I'll watch
Haha. That was such a great game. Thanks for posting this as I actually missed watching the episode where this happened.
to this day, I still wonder what the enemy's entire decklist was
A legendary day, creating a wonderful meme that gave us a beautiful song
This was AWESOME. I'm down for best of's and memory lane strolls. I actually never saw the actual episode, just this happening in the Jinny G promos 😂
Love the format.
Thanks cgb, but I have one more question...
LOL Love this gameplay! There should be a compilation of all the content that followed, it was so funny
oh yeah, the beggining of the jinny g bridge feud! i remember watching this game i think when it came out? if not when i first discovered your channel around neon dynasty standard. stay true, stay blue
Yeah, it's amazing how well the 120 plus card piles draw on Arena best of 1.
Oh hey, I was hoping to dig this up at some point, wanted to know CGB history
I can feel your pain in this vid, some days no amount of skill or luck will save you from fate.
''It is not a goal, but a process-the process of creating the perfect Phyrexia.''
- Jin-Gitaxias
That was a pretty interesting standard format.
Hey, nice, I do like this new take on your most iconic games! Sometimes the cuts were a bit too fast for me, but otherwise ❤
Try to make your escape...skydiving
the pragmatic brioche is legendary
This is how I felt when I tried to prove a focused 40 card deck was better than an 80-card pile. I played Plague Rats, my opponent drew his single Millstone and proceeded to mill every nonland card in my deck. I literally drew only land for ten turns.
@6:00 "Jin Gitaxis?!"
You're welcome.
That’s Jin and his taxes! Lol can’t remember correct spelling but what I said is a true description of the card.
I've seen this clip a dozen times and I still get to lol.
Mother of god, what kind of amalgam of a deck was that. how can anyone destroy such blind hatred 😂 surprisingly you took it pretty well CGB
CGB: What the hell was that?!
Chat: The greatest game I've ever seen.
Love that you brought this back :D
never saw this game until today. i mean i got all the stuff reffering to it and allways wanted to watch it, but i never did. so thanks for showcasing it that way!
To be fair, without this, there would be no Jinny G and that has been my favorite CGB era ever. I wish we were Jin's Minions again...
Best hits from CGB, more of this please 🙏
Great stuff, reliving the best moments! Like the new direction, please make the edition less ADHD, I was about to get a seizure, like when I look at my 13 year old's TikTok videos. Applaud the strategy, and keep doing what you enjoy, that is what draws many of us. The passion and perseverance you have, even in this trainwreck of a game!
Mr President, a second Jin Gitaxias has hit the Prismatic Bridge
I’d love to see a remastered of the game CGB. Became #1 mythic
The ONE in best of one
Watching live was as unbelievable as it was funny.
I wanted so badly to play that deck.
