- Stellaris can be a daunting game, which is why we're going to learn by doing. In this tutorial I will guide you through the fundamentals by actually doing and explaining at the same time. Welcome to the world of Stellaris, enjoy your stay.
ASpec's videos are based around the popular Grand Strategy Game; Stellaris as well as other fun science fiction properties. Delve into a galaxy that is both dark and full of secrets. This channel has tons of guide, overviews, musing and other content for you to enjoy in the semi-classic game review format. So stick around, grab a drink. Some of this content was heavily inspired by the likes of TheSpiffingBrit, RimmyDownUnder and GrayPlays. Other content is similar to that what you would find on let's play channels like The Yogscast.

Had to adjust the name, it's 3.12, not 3.1.
Me and my 1000 hours of playtime are settling in for a good beginners guide!
Everyone who buys a dlc is a beginner all over again
Same bro
1200 hours and I still don’t know how this game works
1300 hours, and I desperately need this beginners guide!
Same always learn if you can!
21:52 - "This is a hand, not a space ship. you will never see the space ship again"
Me with 700 hours in the game: *Head explodes*
A beginner guide? Don't mind if I do! Doesn't matter I have 3k hours, I will watch happily regardless
me and my small 2000 hours getting comfortable to make sure i know what im doing.
Step 1) Try to make friends.
Step 2) War crimes.
Step 3) Profit.
Stellaris=Galactic Genocide Simulator.
@@SingletonD that sounds like a fun time don't you think?
@@Legend-up2dn If you tallied all my different flavor xenophobe galaxy conquering runs over the past decade, I am definitely a Monster. A simulation running having fun Monster!
@DS-wr5lw 😆 🤣 the dying screams of your enemies helped you sleep at night, it must be a very nice lullaby for you
@@Legend-up2dn Hey! I will have you know that I keep my fun clean. Neutron sweeper for everybody. Quick, painless and no unnecessary suffering. Mostly.
I saved montu's 2024 guide to watch later only 30 mins before this video launched.
Thank you aspec. You saved me an hour of time.
Nice concise tutorial, didn't have the patience for some of the 2hour long ones out there, and this covered enough to get me going, thanks 👌🏻
Step 1: Pick machines.
Step 2: Pick Ringworld
Step 3: Build Trade Districts
Step 4: Profit.
Stellaris is very easy to learn. All you need is a PhD in economics, statistics and administration.
with a bachelor's (and experience) in logistics, information systems, calculus, and astrophysics!
@@gamer1X12also 10+ years experience on the UN Diplomacy council…
I have 300 hours in Stellaris but haven't played for 6 months - every time this happens I feel like a complete beginner again because all of the mechanics have changed, so I'm straight back to Aspec! 😂 Thanks for keeping these guides updated 👍
15:58 Factions stopped generating Influence quite some versions ago. They now generate Unity instead.
These Stellaris "Basic Tutorial" videos always brush over the most complex aspects while dwelling on the most simple.
Almost like the complex bits are intentionally not part of a tutorial on the basics
I need more Stellaris from my favorite strategist. Perhaps more Full Playthroughs, another Empire of Jeff
I need such a video for Crusader Kings
Hey Aspec, Can you please do a tutorial on Hive and Machine mind playthroughs. I just cannot seem to be able to get it down. thank you!
Would you recommend learning the game in vanilla and add the dlcs afterwards?
I have too many alloys and too few civilian goods. How do I turn those who work at the forge into artificers?
One of the planetary designations you can assign switches a worker on the industrial districts from alloys to consumer goods
I’ve had this game since launch, and I still play like a beginner. Sigh…
Thanks ASpec! As an aside, has anyone seen E3po? He seems to have disappeared and I have videos of his I need to finish. :)
He's been on tiktok
I was under the impression that the research station % boosts like Zero G Labs were pretty garbage?
I need a new guide every time a patch drops ffs
Another cool video. Thanks gain.

Am i beginner guys? I thought i knew what i was doing.
Bit late don't you think? It's 3.12.5 now 😂
you could argue that it is 3.12, because these small . behind should change enough, to make a difference for a beginner tutorial
@@schwingedeshaehers you could also argue why not just make a tutorial for 3.12 and name it as such. lol
@@ecogreen123 my sentence was for your version of 3.12.5, not related to the Stellaris version he wrote in the title
@@ecogreen123 it takes time, would have probably been recorded on 3.12.3/4?
@@schwingedeshaehers original title was 3.1 I was here when it was 3.1 and made a joke on it.
I've got 1700 hours in stellaris. That's why I'm here.
3.1? not 3.12?
it seems to be in 3.12 but i guess it could kinda be umbrella-termed as 3.1+
3.12 it is.
Cool Name, is not a cool name for the planet, because you didn't name a Artic, Alpine or Tundra planet after it.
Maybe it's just me but the scope creep has made the game overly complicated. I miss the early days.
I love continously evolving games.
The content wall. The game evolving may seem simple to someone who was their for the updates, but any one seeing for the first time has literal years of content, systems, and changes pushed at the same time.
21:50 WTF?!!!!?!??!
Id much rather a starter tutorial that shows how to play with every tutorial. Combined.
If the comments are anything to go by, the only ones watching this are veterans with thousands of hours. Thats not a useful tutorial, that isnt a near identical copy of your previous tutorials. Milk that same ol content!!
Love this channel and the content, still watching it. But fr show how all the dlc has impacted my game. Please.
This is a good tutorial for getting new people into the game.
Aspec has a devoted fanbase that likes to meme.
It seems basic, but considering the limited number of to date tutorials, it is easier to show than teach at times.
Individual DLC tutorials mostly get rolled into the DLC reviews.
This is a good beginner tutorial. I do not know any better out there for this game.
no views after 45 seconds? Aspec really fell off.
