    Awesome, Jay!
    Here’s a few other cool things I like about the SB:
    It’s small and the carrying case just goes on your belt, so it’s always right at your fingertips if you want it.
    Rechargeable means no more of the hated 9v batteries that the Q box needed. While I was on tour, I used it most every day, and never had to recharge it once. I think I still haven’t charged it! I think in normal use it will go for months.
    There’s a signal indicator as well as the speaker!
    The cable tester will also show you shorted wires. If you see more than 1 light at the same time on the receive end, then you’ve got a short!
    Plug in some earbuds to listen more closely to a line to make sure the signal is clean.
    As you mentioned, no cable needed - plugs right into the jack. This is huge!

      That's awesome dude! The built in rechargable battery was a game changer, and the line check feature too. I would feel naked at work without this haha

    Got mine the other day and I absolutely love it. I got so used to hauling around a Qbox but never was happy with how large it was. This little unit is a spacer saver and does everything you'd need to do to complete a proper line check.

    Dave Rat recently posted a video of the final assembly and Q/A processes for the Sound Bullet. It’s cool and I want one.

    Nice review of a great tool.
    A test I did not see was a simple Line out tone from the mixer through a cable into the Sound Bullet to test that a signal is present on the far end of the cable. You kind of did this with the PA loop through but was difficult to hear your test results. A 1 kHz tone may be better than pink noise for this.
    Something not covered and I guess it is because it is not possible is can you test that a mic is working? Can you plug a mic into the Sound Bullet and hear dynamic or condenser mic sound from the Sound Bullet speaker or headphone jack?

    Did you use this on live gigs? It definitely has charge issues. Love the tool, but it loses charge far too quickly. My use case was line checking, output checking, etc. When it is losing charge, it will not output sound. The light blinks slowly to indicate it needs to be charged. I probably should have waited for a later version, but I do love it when it works.

      hmm, maybe you got a bad one? Yes I use mine on live gigs and for me the battery life has been acceptable. Sorry to hear yours is acting up.

    Hey man, just found your channel and I'm digging it. I have a super specific question that I was hoping you can help with... I have a clear com MS-702 base station. If I want to be able to talk to talent via my director headset, I've been going out of channel B on the back into a small console, and then send wirelessly to the talents IEM pack. I know this is probably not the way to do this, as the signal is above a normal line level. Should i be using something to reduce the level before it hits the console? Or come out of the Announce 1/4" and use that to talk to talent? Any insight is greatly appreciated! Would love to see how you set up your IFBs. Thanks!!

      Ah. Yes. Use a 2wr line dryer to take the "wet" 30v comm signal and convert it into line level. Then send into ifb/iem

    Nah but really loved that product because I need it in my environment. Too many bad cables and ports! Stage boxes not passing phantom.
    Mahalo!

    Can you also use it as a headphone Amp? I see a headphone Jack that could save a gig with a clik track for a drummers headphones e.g.

    • @KINETICPROFESSIONALS
      @KINETICPROFESSIONALS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm. Didn’t think of that , I suppose it could. Wired IEM ?

    • @theotherJdwag
      @theotherJdwag ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I checked it it works. You can feed audio from the jack or the XLR and it is played through the headphone amp. Also you can have the Bullet connected to the charger or a power bank to make sure you don't run out if batteries mid gig.@@KINETICPROFESSIONALS

    Good stuff , thanks for the review! I just got my Sound Bullet and can't wait to use it. Question for you - I work in Sports Broadcasting a lot, can the Sound Bullet measure 24v - 30v connections that the Clear Com and RTS intercom beltpacks/IFB use ?

    • @KINETICPROFESSIONALS
      @KINETICPROFESSIONALS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no! I also work in broadcast and consider myself a com expert ( see my clear com videos). 2wr voltage will most likely damage the sound bullet. I have accidently smoked several cable testers in the past due to this.

      @evilg99 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KINETICPROFESSIONALS Wow, OK thank you for that! I was watching someone use an old QBox for 2wr, and it seemed fine. I won't use the sound bullet for com, thanks ! Hey, do you offer intercom training? It's the hardest part of learning A1/A2. I have 40 years of experience as a gigging musician and 30 years experience in audio post - learning com is almost impossible on your own.

    This tester cannot test XLR to 6.3 cable, right?

    • @KINETICPROFESSIONALS
      @KINETICPROFESSIONALS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmm, hadn't thought of that. if you use 2 female to female 1/4" couplers with xlr to 1/4" cables terminating at the sound bullet - then having a 1/4" to 1/4" cable in the middle of the 2 couplers should work using the pinout function.

    It's great you could sneak a "little" bit of information in between the thousand COMMERCIALS !!!! couldn't make it through.
