Take The Long Way Home- C Harmonica- 1st position

Take The Long Way Home is a song in the key of C
It is usually played on a F Harmonica (2nd position)
• Take the long way home...
But if you don't have one, you can use a C Harrmonica (1st position).
You will then need to use the high end to get the minor seven and flat five with blow bends. This can be a little high pitched so you can use a low C to be in the right tessitura.
If you want to play in 3rd position , you will need a Bb harmonica but it has to be country tuned. The draw 5 is then raised a half step and you can play the major third.

"Take The Long Way Home" est un morceau en Do. Il est habituellement joué sur un harmonica en Fa (seconde position)
On peut cependant aussi le jouer sur un harmonica en Do (pemière position). Il faut alors le jouer sur la partie aigue pour obtenir la 7eme mineur et la 5te bémol avec des altérations soufflées. Le rendu est un peu aigu et on peut alors utiliser un Low C pour être dans la bonne tessiture.
Pour jouer en 3ème position, il faut un harmonica en Si bémol. Mais il est préférable d'utilser un harmonica "country tuned" (ct ou lydien) pour obtenir la 3ce majeure sur le 5 aspiré.
