For me, it is truly one of Böhm's most impressive chorale preludes. It works very well in the reed registration and the majesty is beautifully accentuated.

Don’t you wish Böhm would have continued with the fugal expositions in the second half as well? Almost like in a chorale motet of Scheidemann’s time…
