The rada's blessing does give a second big fish if you roll its effect when you catch the big fish, but the extra big fish will not be counted in your collection log. I got a double big shark with the blessing, but still no pet :(
You can choose when to update the website. Its not always automatic. So if you're worried about spoilers you could just press to upload collection log data whenever you edit a new vid.
