Spray the house. But the day you do. Wash all sheets and beding same day. Spray chemicals all over floor and couches. Spray along edges of baseboard etc. They don't like to lay eggs in walk ways. (Exterminator) use a growth inhibitor in your spray so they cant grow into fleas
Eggs take anywhere from two days to two weeks to develop, hatching when environmental conditions are just right for them. If temperatures are cold and dry, the eggs will take longer; if temperatures are warm and humidity levels are high, the eggs will hatch at a faster rate. Larvae then emerges as the next life stage.
so I have a bad infestation in my basement I don't know how it happened but its all cement down there can I still use this because all these spray and powder remedies seem to be for carpets and things like that?
@Kat Cymru Worth a try. I hate spraying poison everywhere. I have birds upstairs and wouldn't want fumes to hurt them. And then have to spray every 2 weeks. Just seems harsh.
@ No, but I don't remember now what I did exactly . I put the "Easy Defense Flea and Tick Tag' (it's metal) on their collars a few weeks ago that's supposed to prevent fleas. Hope that works.
I am literally sick of fleas. I've tried baking soda, salt, flea traps, vacuuming, washing my pets, washing beddings, dish soap and i still find these suckers. My house is big and it is really draining to deal with them. I still find one/two fleas every day in my bedroom especially, but tonight i even found one in another bedroom. I literally don't know what else to do so if anyone has any tips?...
Hi i used steamer in my room , that worked well also try boric acid on your carpet which kill the eggs.. u have to continusly do it for a week to get rid of them.. just dont give up other wise they will turn up again
A family member bought a house that was infested. Covered it with 20 Mule Team Borax for a couple weeks and used a bagged vacuum to pick it up (or shop vac, do not use a cyclone vac it will ruin it). We used flea traps with night lights (real bulbs not LED versions) with a dish plate of soapy water to check on progress, within 2 weeks there was a dramatic reduction. It helped no one was living there yet. Temps have to be 70-75 degrees with at least 40% humidity, if too cold this time of year they will go in stasis and sit waiting for over a year to hatch from the pupae stage. If people and pets are there, look at the spray you can get from your vet and also Diatomaceous Earth (DE for short). But don't buy it at big box stores, you want the food grade version that's safe for pets and also the real deal not loaded with chemicals. That cuts them open where they dehydrate. Borax does a similar thing from the inside when they injest it. You MUST vacuum every single day for a couple months at least if they are bad enough. That is one of the biggest things to get rid of them and breaking their cycle every day. You get more of them than they can reproduce. Hope this helps, good luck if you are still dealing with them!
Is it possible they are using my bed as a hiding spot? We deep cleaned several times and bug bombed the place... They keep showing up, particularly in my bedroom.
Great advert for flea speay. I used my carpet cleaner. All colonies of fleas were gone. Killed and disappeared.. No harmful chemical sprays to my dogs were needed.
Dawn may work on fleas, but it is known to have some ingredients that may be harmful to pets when directly applied. Let us know if you have any questions.
@@solutionspestandlawn "Some ingredients that may be harmful?" Seriously. "Novacide" for $35 is safe. Dawn dishwashing liquid for $7 is harmful. Am I the only one having a hard time with this?
How long does it take to dry? Do I vacuum everything again after it dries?
Does throwing hot water from a boiled kettle kill fleas?
Will this work for something liken my bed, I have seen fleas on it and I am worried of using chemicals where I sleep

By the way those bombs you buy at store don't work well
Flea eggs only take 3 days to hatch, not a week. If you really want to get rid of them you need to treat every egg cycle

What if you have wood or laminate floor if you treat the floor won’t it raise the floor

The response makes it obvious that it indeed not safe.

Yeah same..
Sprinkle Diamatatious Earth on your box springs, mattress and around all rooms. Vacuum up after a few days. It’s all natural.
