Once we arrived in Pokhara, we needed to wash some clothes. So, we headed to a laundromat nearby and met the owner named Krishna. He mentioned to us that he owns a hotel in a village near Pokhara and that he could take us for a walk around the village if we stayed there.
So, a few days later, we met up with Krishna and hopped onto a local bus to head up into the mountains of Pokhara. Meeting the locals on the bus was an adventure on its own, but once we reached Krishna's home, we were in awe of the amazing views we had. We woke up early every morning, and we were treated to the most breathtaking views of the Annapurna mountain range right from our bedroom window!
This morning were heading out to take a walk through the villages and find out a little bit about how the people live here in the village. We mainly want to see how people live close to the river vs how people live away from the river and more up on the mountains.

Nepal was part of India for since time immemorial. in ancient times the whole subcontinent and part of Tibet were India. that's why it is called Indian subcontinent. it was not like everything under one ruler but it was one culture one civilization. most of the subcontinent was Hindu then. after that many invasions and force conversions happened. some parts of subcontinent became occupied while others were free and different nations emerged. then came British, wrote distorted history and made people more separate.

That fruit in 9:32 is Aiselu in Nepali which is "Rabus ellipticus" and the one which you eat in Kathmandu is Kafal which is "Bayberry"

Those glittering rocks contain mixture of quartz, feldspar and mica ... but probably not enough to mine on a commercial scale. They do look pretty and great to take a few back home as souvenirs.

Its wonderful to see how Nepalese making a living in a mountainous region. I am still lost for words to describe from where your lady gets all her stamina from, she never complains about any foods she eats, she always heaps praises on the foods. She just loves Indian spicy foods.
