I just got these headlights for my wife’s 2007 r56. You are the 1st how to video that popped up when I searched. I realized while watching you road test your lights that you are driving in my neighborhood! How cool is that! Thanks for the offer…5months later and her 2007 R56 is going to be sold as we got a 2023 Mini-e. We are now selling the Vland headlights, which worked great.
I have a 2010, to get it to stop having the halo’s on until you lock the car in did the following. The little harnesses that runs to the factory DRL‘s. I cut the plugs off and connected the red wires to the red wire that comes off the little black box. Then i used a tap a fuse and ran it off the F6 fuse in the engine bay fuse box. Only need to connect the ground wire for the black box. Now the halo’s shut off about 20 seconds after you shut off the car.
Had the lights a bit- after taking it to the dealer one of the Halos refuses to come on but does in fact work. (welcome and goodbye work sometimes but not the drl halo) ordered a BC adapter, but wondering it its because I don't have led DRL fogs. Super confused. I've never used binmercode before- think that will help resolve my issue? Thanks for the great video. I have mine wired exactly as you do.
@@MrRichRainbow double check all connections. I had issues where the tire managed to hit one of the wires and I had a similar issue and had to splice it back together
Hi, I have these lights and on low beam I have a large zigzag shadow where the light shine stops. What do I do to fix this? I didn't install them was already on the car
@@brinleyseaton1021 there is a hack you can do where you wire the ring source to a power that shuts off with the car. I’ve had a bunch of people ask me about it
Hi Just installed these lights. Does yours turn off the white led ring after a while if you don't lock the doors? Mine doesn't unless i unplug the fuse for the module but then the welcome white led is hard on and not running...
Yes you have to lock the door for them to turn off. I’d have to check but I have a write up saved of how you are supposed to wire the led ring to a different power source then the fusebox power
The car actually ended up deciding to start turning them off when the door is opened, just took a short bit. Also, although the led rings are bright, they don’t consume much energy. Accidentally left the lights on for around 2-3 hours and the car still started fine

The internet can be kinda dramatic about that. It’s not bad, you just gotta have a smog guy or revert the car back to stock. You won’t really get pulled over unless you have a clapped out straight pipe 350z missing bumpers. Don’t be too loud, don’t be stupid and you will mostly be fine I did get a modified exhaust ticket like 2 weeks after buying my green countryman with a loud exhaust. No state ref or anything fortunately

@zevisgarage yes, I think I see similar problem on your car in the video, will the adjuster screws on the back correct this ?

@@CHILLIFLAMES The cut off line on the left is intentionally lower so you do not blind the oncoming traffic.

you can turn off the ring lights by locking or after turning off the car activate each turn signal before removing the key fob.

I have DRL enabled--I didn't realize this would just turn on low beam lights at all times. Is there a way around it?
That’s how it is with all lights including the factory xenon’s. Are you looking to have just halo on but no low beam bulb?

@@gleung91 turn off DRL setting in the BC menu and it should allow the ring to stay on alone

These are intended for halogen swap, only Xenons have the washer. These will work, you will probably be able to fit them I imagine

I always feel the same, in the case of these I’d rather replace them after a few years than deal with OEM halogens
