My edges are always rough so I use a black sharpy on the edges around the body. Can't even tell it's there. Love the channel. Glad I was doing it right.
After trying many methods best one I’ve found to work great is fiberglass casting tape. You cut a piece wet it apply it and let it dry. Two coats and hard as a rock
I found the E6000 was easier to apply and with a brush to apply. I cut the brushes in an angle. And concrete fibra tape is stronger and the sticky part is better adhering. I made a vid on my channel. You did a much better job explaining and details. Mine is gruff. Lol. TH-cam stuff is new to me. "Readeracing RC". If you were interested. Have Fun
10.6oz E6000 caulking tube size, like $11.00 us on Amazon E6000 is pretty much Shoe Goo. I also switched to Saint-Gobain ADFORS FibaTape ( use for joining fiber cemet boards together) stickes better to body and stronger.
I have used Shoe Goo many times in the past, I also used E6000 that was cheaper than Shoe Goo. My choice these days is Gorilla Max-Strength grab adhesive Crystal clear, it must be the Max-Strength & not the normal Gorilla. This stuff is incredible, it comes in 270ml tubes, is around the same price as 1 tube of 110ml Shoe goo. Making it 2.5 times cheaper than Shoe Goo. I think it also does a better job than Sho-Goo as well, plus it dosn't smell at all when applying.
@@richardfox3924 No its Gorilla Max-Strength Grab Adhesive Crystal Clear 270ml cartridge tube that goes into a regular caulking gun. Its important that it is the Max-strength grab adhesive, it comes in a clear tube + the adhesive is clear. Yes you still use Dry Wall Tape.
After doing this a couple times on different bodies take my advice and take the money that you will blow on the sho goo and put it towards a new body. Maybe put a little in the stress points of a new body but F the mess, time, and money of doing a whole body.
I hear yah man - easier to just drive. Although when I shoe glued my body, I got 6 months of HARD bashing out of it. Then when it came time for a new body I said to my self, I don't need to bother... it only lasted 2 weeks before It was toast. .. I think its worth it but totally up to you!
#1. Work in sections... #2. use popsicle sticks to spread it around/in the corners & crevices... #3. gorilla tape squares over the body posts holes then punch through with an exacto 👌🏽
*_Supreme content sir!_*
Thx my man!

The only other glue I would recommend is E6000 and you can get it in caulking tubes. It just makes it easier to apply and a little faster. 👍🏼
oooo really... maybe ill give that a try on the next project. Thx man!
Also use cement tape to line the body then E6000 two tubes will do the job. Deff wear gloves it’s a nasty job
Cement tape? Not sure I know what that is. Is it a similar idea to the mesh or totally different?

@@KUDRARACING it’s basically the same tape as the drywall tape. It’s just stick’s better and is a little stronger.

Game changer
Great content, best explanations!👍👍
Thx man 🤙
I use e6000. Works awesome!
Yeah eh, what makes it so good? Might try it on the next body
Very nice, but the body cracked there so you made a new hole, thanks for the video
Yeah, totally… just showing how fragile the bodies are. One more reason to shoe glue and mesh tape them 😅
Nice vid bro! I’ve been testing FLEX SEAL on my bodies. So far seems to work well and is very easy to do. Give it a try
Thx for the tip 🙏

Question, is it the Gorilla max strength "construction" adhesive clear 9oz (1) also do you apply any drywall tape as multiple layer with this process?
oooo ill have to look into that, thx!

Use hotglue to make hold at the beginning
