I have an 07 es 350 (same platform/chassis as the 6 cyl camry)with bc racing coilovers wheels tires and exhaust its a fun platform not much aftermarket support though
@@jayydaman6784 Honestly wouldn’t take too much to get that power, my 07 xle can almost keep up with (stock) 350z’s, only fun because my s12 is nottt fast
I have an 09 XLE V6 and cant wait to get to modding. I'm going to just do cosmetics and maybe one day lowering it and keeping it stock. It was grandmas so it was never abused and only has 50,000 miles on it 😱. I dont plan on selling it for a g35 or something I really want, those will have 200,000 miles and ready to blow up
Correct plus there's tons of Aftermarket performance supporting parts for those engines. The normal 2AZ-FE can make 400whp with head work and upgraded pistons and rods for reliability keep the pistons to 89.1 OEM specs
How did you wire the new headlights? I did this conversation on an 07 to a 2010 front end and they have different male female plugs for blinkers and running lights.
Hey I have an 08 camry looking to get some 19"rims but I dont exactly understand this whole offset thing and am trying not to buy it them it's too wide and keep brushing what do u think is the widest inch rim that can fit it without rubbing
a 9.5 would work pretty good at a +30 ish offset. Theres so may factors that can go into it. the best option is to look around forums and Facebook pages and see what other people have and what works. these wheels were very aggressive on my car and it was a lot of tight tolerances
Jason Thornton its not slow in reality. i got one but to ruin its reliability is dumb. a set of wheels, muffler delete, few stickers, tint, springs (if your area has decent roads) & your car looks completely different but not messing with its reliability. your brain is v small if u think cars shouldnt be touched unless theyre “fast”
the exterior aesthetic looks so clean. do you plan on doing the VLAND head/taillights? otherwise just needs the finishing fogs and grill for the bumper :)
How much HP did it have in total? also how much can the stock transmission handle anyway? I heard the 2GR-FE V6 can handle 400hp on stock internals but I want to make at least 375hp in my '09 Camry SE
The stock U660E transmission can only take 295 foot pounds, and the stock engine pushes around 250. The 2gr-fe can definitely handle a lot more, but the transmission is the weak point :/
Theres gotta be a few 5 Speed and 6 speed manual options that are Toyota but come off another car. Toyota makes a lot of engines that are similar and share transmissions.
My Camry is Manual 2AZ-FE you can get a full turbo kit, but you'll need to upgrade the head studs Pistons and rods and camshafts valve springs. I would keep the pistons to 89.1 unless you wanna do a port and polish.
You dont do camber arms on the back of these cars. it's an adjustment at the lower two bolts that hold the coilover to the knuckle. If you slot the upper hole, you can loosen the bolts and add or subtract camber by pushing it where you want it and tightening down the bolts
what is it. with the fascination. with turbo. guys ?! I really don't get it ?! its extra expensive component you add to the engine . why would you want to that for ?! speed OR extra power is not enough reason . honestly that vehicle as is its awesome . I only need to know how . or what rims and tires spec to upgrade. because honestly I hate Toyota OE specs on these items . including the dual exhaust that is showing underneath the body. i noticed Toyota out of all automotive industry for some reason they love to show off their muffler pipe under the body !!
so the cams aren't officially made for this car. I bought them from Monkey Wrench Racing for a Lotus Evora which shares the same engine, but you have to specify to them you have a camry.
2gr-fe is such a great engine and surprisingly powerful
I wish this build would've continued this is one of my favorite cars on here

Brilliant stuff mate, I've been looking for a project like this one for 6 months now for a 2GR-FE on 2012 camry. Gnna follow your progress... 👍🏼🤘
If you go to level ten transmission in nj they can help you with your automatic transmission
This Camry looks good! Love the stance a lot too

Bro.
Take good care of her bro. I love the interior of these generation Camrys. I got a 2009 LE with 118k miles. Going strong just replaced the starter 💪🏾
never sell that, you have the best camry of all time
I think the Lexus GS 300 and 400 are Camry based. Possibly your rear wheel drive idea may go in that direction.

I see you have a hole in your bumper for the tow hook. Is there actually a threaded hole you can screw a tow hook into???
No, theres not. I've been meaning to get a cover it.
Beautiful build ✌🏽🔰
I have 2010 i4 2arfe I hope more parts come out with the new camry. I know I can use dezod turbo kit but I change my mind. I will do orange virus tune

If I do that v6 swap does the motor bolt right in or you have to modify the motor mount
Nice bro I have the same year im looking looking to do the same something simple but clean. I have a 4 cylinder though
Don’t even do nun wit it except window tint too slow

CJ lol all that for what wasting money on a slow car just for it to look better is kinda dumb
CJ all of that money and you could’ve got a v6 Camry and done the same and keep it reliable and still be some what “fast “
Actually if just take the U660E or the E350 manual transmission and just upgrade it, that automatic will hold 500hp-700hp
Where’d you get the headlights brother. Link please!
What would you recommend I upgrade first on my 2007 v6 Le camry?

Can I fit a 2gr-fe in the 2.4L se version if I swap?
I have a 2009 Toyota Camry and I wanted to get these rims. When I looked it up, it said that the nut pattern was off. Any suggestions?

Hi..Any rubbing on the fender cover? or you remove them?
With all your mods how much hp were you pushing? Did you ever dyno it and did you ever r9k tuned ecu?
tbh, im not sure. it was never dynoed, but compared to other motors with the same upgrades, people were seeing 300whp on a proper tune.
Got to get the underdrive pulley or the supercharger from the Australian Aurion TRD! 👍
