    Any true pressman knows that these are great presses... But we just had 3 installed since 2018 and their is always KBA electricians and pressman still working on ours. We run 24/7. But I will add we run plastic rolls off the Mabeg sheet fed inline.

    Doesn't anyone inspect the printed sheets? How do you know the register is good or that there is no blanket damage? Does the press load the feeder and set for different paper sizes? Unreal!

    Is registration organised at the platemaking stage or are there automatic sensors to adjust it on the machine?

    Everyone... I mean everyone who works on the industry knows things doesn't work like that.

      Thanks for watching. Obviously this is our showroom and our goal in the videos is to show customers the potential and what is capable with our new Rapida technology. I can also confirm we do have some customers who are achieving this everyday, of course it is not everyones work mix and this is key to this type of production. Thanks again. Cheers.

      @@christraviskba don't get me wrong. It's an amazing machine. But noone in print shops work like that. I mean, the printer don't even stop the machine after 50-100 sheets to check if everything is ok?? There are many problems can happen before and during the printing process. Not to mention there is no paper format change. The ink (pantone) is already made. And most of the times jobs need to be printed on the front and back of the paper.
      Actualy I work on a rapida 105, all by myself, no paper boy, noone to help. And I know what I struggle everyday to get 4 or 5 jobs done in an 8 hour shift. Depending on the jobs. The problem is that most of the printshop owners sees this, and they think they will spend a ton of money and the production will always be 10 jobs / hour. And when they realise it's impossible, it's always the operator's fault. Doesn't work like that, I wish it would.

      Andy, Thanks for watching. On our Rapida 106 as a standard option you can wash the rollers while cleaning the blankets, thus reducing the job transition time. We also have what we call Simultaneous Roller Wash (SRW) which allows you to wash the rollers whilst printing in the other units, a common feature for our packaging customers. This allows you to fully prepare a unit with a PMS color while in production. So to answer you question directly around 3mins, but with a specifically configured press we can make it as easy as just an ink up to add to the existing colors. Good question.! Cheers.

      I’m curious, does the simultaneous roller wash system work on machines that have UV/LED lamps? Or more directly in units that have lamps in them? How is the srw different than the flying job change? Great video

    • @christraviskba
      @christraviskba 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joshbohn1209 SRW works with UV or LED UV on the unit or in the unit. This is a recent change and we are able due to the fact we have our own drying system VariDry and were able to prove that the heat generated from the modules were not an issue for the roller wash solvent. The SRW runs, once the rollers have been disengaged, with its own dedicated motor for the rollers that is used for wash ups. Cheers.
