    LOVE THE WORK. I'm a Silhouette user myself and i find it to be better than the Cricut. It's more easier to learn and gives you more space to design in and size. Cricut has limited designing space like what your showing now you would not be able to do in Design Space cricut.

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never used a Cricut. I started with the Silhouette that only cut 8.5x11 but then upgraded to the Cameo 4.. I'm thinking about upgrading again to cut larger designs.

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kimberly. The temp and time really depends on your press. I'm using 396 degrees for 60 seconds. I used to have a press that ran hotter and when I did my time and temp was different; 390 for 55 seconds. The amount of "Internal Offset" you use is determined by how much of the white flock you want showing. I typical use an internal offset of 0.015 or 0.025 Hope this helps.

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, great question and with my limited experience I'm not sure you can that's the reason why businesses make tons of money selling you the base layer (white) that you sublimate all the other colors on. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. I guess I still have potholes in my lawn! lol

    • @Bethplustwo
      @Bethplustwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure if you’re wanting to have completely white on white, but I read where someone said earlier on another post, to just have your machine set to “cut” when using the white sub paper/base and voila! lol Idk if that helps. If you’re wanting white to show up on white shirt, you’d have to add a text with a thin colored boarder. ☺️

    • @SirDodge

      Hi Paa G, time and temp for the flock is whatever the flock manufacturer you use suggests. Sublimation paper is ASub 125G, pressing onto the flock at 400 for 60 seconds. I'm not promoting the ink brand because I have not had a good experience with them.

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, So here's what I'm beginning to learn with the flock. You may have to lint brush it after you peel the carrier and some finer blends or lower weight fabrics tend to bleed more into the flock than do heavier weight stuff. Amazon.. A brand called Essmo

    Could you make another video like this but with you pressing and cutting and the whole nine so we can see step by step. • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi.. Thanks and yes. The flock is used as the white base so you can sublimate on dark color clothing. So basically what is happening is; you're going to create your sublimation design the same way you always do and when you press it, you're pressing it onto the flocked vinyl (which has already been pressed on your dark garment.)

    I heard the flock is to heavy on a t shirt if it's a big design but perfect for a sweatshirt. How about a left chest logo on a tee? Too heavy or what?

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I would tend to agree, depending on the weight of the T-Shirt. In my opinion, flock is good for T's that are 5.5oz or heavier. I think a left chest logo is fine if it's 3x3 or smaller.

      What color is your garment? You also have to keep in mind that flock is not fully opaque so you may be getting bleed through of your garment color which is dulling down your colors. I've seen in happen with some of the darker colored hoodies or tees.

    • @SirDodge
      @SirDodge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to be honest with you. The easiest way now a days is to figure out what you're trying to do then search YT for a tutorial. I've been using PS since 2001 ( I remember because it was right before 9/11 happened ) and I still don't know how to do everything. Back then I used to spend entire weekends just going through the menus and tools and learning what they did. Most of my knowledge comes from when I was a photographer and had to retouch images and design magazine covers. Everything else I've learned has come in bits and pieces.

      Hi, this example IS NOT with siser flocked vinyl and I'm not sure if you can use that brand. I also do not print on the flock itself, I press on the flock. The flock is cut and pressed on the shirt, then the design is printed on sublimation paper and pressed/transferred to the flock. It's a Cut / Press / Print / Cut & Press process. Cut the flock, press the flock, print the design, cut the design and press the design. I have a video that explains the process here: th-cam.com/video/blfIV28GO2o/w-d-xo.html

Step 1: Cut the flock to desired shape. Step 2: Heat Press the flock onto the garment. Step 3: Print out your sublimation design onto sublimation paper. Step 4: Cut your sublimation print. Step 5: Press your sublimation onto the flock that is already pressed onto your garment. Hopefully that helps.
